Rio Chain Gang 270+, Fight Organization, Rio de Janeiro
Company profile by Alan Maynard

The Chain Gang bunch are at it again. Once again, the Brazilian Federal Police were summoned by the local authorities to respond to reports of “shots fired” at the Rio Chain Gang offices.

Upon arrival, local authorities found a shooter had barricaded himself in the office and was holding org owner Alan Maynard hostage, and The Brazilian Federal Police were called in.

The federal police started negotiations soon upon arrival, but the situation took a turn for the worse when gunfire began to ring out. With negotiation ruled out, the SWAT team was called in. It wasn't long before the SWAT team swarmed the offices, they are familiar the RCG offices and it's layout from past raids. Mr Maynard was rescued with only minor injuries, but the shooter was taken to Rio General Hospital in critical condition.

The shooter has since been identified as Dicky Fatton, who was a fighter for the Chain Gang. According to a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Fatton was involved in fight fixing ring that included 11 fighters.

Mr Maynard had become aware of what was happening and had fired all of them. Trying to avoid scandal he had chosen not to bring law enforcement in to it. Fatton was threatening Mr Maynard's life if he did not re-instate all of them.

Mr Maynard said he had no comment shortly after the shooting incident, but did respond to to questions about the sudden loss of 11 fighters to the org roster. He said “Yes, we did lose a group of fighters, 11 sounds about right.

It was just a coincidence that they all left at once, they all had their own reasons for leaving. We will miss them especially some crowd favorites such as Junior Ramos, Marc Wilson, and MD Tank but we have so many stars that our fans won't even notice.

Dicky Fatton was shot twice during the raid, once in the shoulder and once in the head. The bullets were successfully removed during surgery but there was extensive brain damage. Fatton is currently being kept alive with life support equipment and shows no brain activity.
