Company profile by Island FC brought to you an amzing card , we had 10 fights ,2 super heavyweight ,3 heavyweith, 4 light heavyweight and 1 welterweight in all we had 10 finishes 8 of them in the 1st round...The arena was,as usual, The Underground with a packed house full of girls, loads of beer , legalized weed and the best fights, what else does a man need...All theese and much more only here because we know what you like,,,,yeah you...the real FIGHT FAN so here we GO:
SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT:(W) Martyn Ford vs Lee Black
IT is not the first time Ford gets the sub of the night award but this one was for the 205lbs belt and it was fast and furious , was finished with a briliant piece of skill, extremly well executed technic,WORLD CLASS grapling skills in a post fight octagon interview he stated that hes here to stay as the promotion 205lbs Champ for a long time to come and that anyone risking to get it from hem will be either choked out or limbless ....1st round submission (kneebar)
FIGHT OF THE NIGHT: (W)Uzziah Judah vs Frank Majors
Judah was looking preplexed with Franks striking, i mean he got cut, he got rocked and he got knockdown all this before even the half way of the first round, but he show some "CORRONES", heart and finishing instinct, he got stuck and landed that right hand from hell,after that a 20sec barrage of strikes...i think he would have killed hes oponent if the ref was not there.....These caliber of fights make us all very proud...1st round KO
KO OF THE NIGHT:(W)Vanilla Isis vs PJ Wison
Give it up for this 2 warriors ,forget about takedowns and submissions on this one,they both went chin hunting , trowing heavy leather for the duration of the fight,wich was not long, both fighters got cut but wilson hit a knee twice and he was geting the worse of it on the exanges...the fans were pleased and so was our promoter JJ, heard shouting "I FUCKIN LOVE IT"....1st round TKO
(W)Afonso Cabral vs Smokey Hightower
Afonso came into this fight with a clear,and in this case,very eficient game plan being the much shorter man he did what he should and stayed in the inside of Smokey, and, slowly but surly, soften that body....the Champ on this division still to be found, but Cabral is looking like the main contender....1st round TKO
(W)Theodore Thundercunt vs Ringo Washout
This was a standup war with Thundercunt trying to do damage from the clinch with some dirty boxing while Ringo was trying to keep the distance and counter with combinations,With 3 seconds to go in the round Thundercunt trow an over hand from hell, that conected right on the button,conserns about Ringo well being ,as he was transported to hospital for safety reasons....1st round KO
(W)Dynamite Dave vs Tapak Utara
Coming of a defeat Dave looked determined to put things right with a dominant performance against an oponent,that didnt show much creativity or neither he had a plan b,i mean Ringo has amazing talent but came into this fight very,very one dimentional trying to do the same thing over and over again, very predictable and pay the price midway into the third, when he got caught in a triangle choke....3rd round submission
(W)Heath Herring vs Admir Lichtsteiner
Not the most exiting fight on the card thats for sure, but very eficient from green bearded Herring avoid any danger by taking Admir down as soon as he could ,he controled top position perfectly, without being extra agressive ,from where he soften and distracted Admir, with some strikes until he got hold of a kimura...ouch that one looked hiper extended...in a post fight interview this flamboyent and talented fighter promissed to be coming for the belt soon....1st round submission
(W)Horacio Santos vs Rage Icon
Icon started well with some sharp boxing and wining the standup exanges Santos realizing he was going no where doing what he was doing, then he clinched and the tide start changing , he start unleashing some brutal right hands to the head,Icon will to win was being taken from him, after every shot he got hit with...in a post fight interview he said that no one can clinch with him on this division...1st round TKO
(W)Jesse Enkamp vs Damian Santana
The only,under 205lbs fight on the card, and for me ,was the KO of the night ....Jesse destroyd Damian in little under 2 minutes, he knock him down twice before countering with a picture perfect head kick...one wor for hes performance...AMAZING....and proved to be a very humble and grounded guy thanking the fans ,family and GOD on the post fight interview...very polite young man with lethal kicks what a fusion...1st round KO
(W)Piripi Tama vs Root Paul
We all knew this one would not go the distance unless the fighters refuse to punch,what we were not expecting was that would be finished so quick ,and the way it happend was a surprise aswell, Root got cut on the first exange went for the takedown,got it, while he was trying to pass guard ,Tama trow hes leg up and closed a very tight triangle, and sang him a godnight song while he was putting Paul to sleep....1st round submission
Island FC 9 coming up soon we expect another great event ,with all fighters turning up in good shape and on weight i predict another full house and there is plans beind the scenes to move our events into a bigger arena, to fit the growing popularity and hype beind Island FC ..
.the FA agent problem still a big issue within the rooster but i know as we grow it will be less of a problem.....
