IFC 13 Preview

ISLAND FC, Fight Organization, New York
Company profile by Justin Credible

Aloha Tycoon Family, Justin Credible here bringing you another top notch preview, this time I’ll be previewing Island FC 13. Again I’m sticking with the main card only, so don’t get all pissy… If you want to be written about, prove your worthy! Let’s get into it!

Just Islander v Issumatar Tariaksuq start off the main card with what I’m sure to be an exciting and fast fight. Both of these men are Muay Thai experts and will almost certainly be looking to take this fight into the clinch and see who can implement offense first. Just Islander is 2-1 with his only loss coming by way of submission, and judging by I.T’s last 2 fights, no worries about that in this one. Islander has said, “I’m going to get in his ugly confused looking face and make this a grinding fight, take him to war and see what he’s made of. Let’s see how he deals with constant pressure and persistence.” I.T. is no stranger to wars in the cage, as his last 2 fights have went all 3 rounds, and he’s came out on top in both (Man this sounds like my college years). He hasn’t been a fan favorite thus far in his Island career, but as long as he keeps winning, he thinks that the fans will eventually see the light. “Listen, I’m here to win fights...That’s it, these fans will notice that I work hard and once I become champion they’ll bow at my feet.” Strong words. I’m going with Just Islander though, to improve to 3-1.

Rudy Mar Binay v Piripi Tama do battle next inside the Island FC cage. This one will be exciting to watch, who will break first? Rudy Mar Binay, Piripi Tama, or the cage mat? 600 pounds of pure sex panther will be fighting inside of that cage and I hope the people who put it together knew what they were doing. Both of these men like to take it to the ground which should make for an interesting technical fight. Rudy Mar Binay is only a blue belt, but has been very impressive in his 2 fights here on The Island, he submitted a fellow blue belt and retired a purple belt, both inside of a round. He may only wear a blue belt, but his skills say otherwise. Piripi Tama is a purple belt with quick hands and a love for fast cars. He is one big ass human being and yet he moves as graceful as a bantamweight. Many believe he’s the uncrowned king of the Super-Heavyweight division, but he faces a stern test in this fight. This one is a tough fight to predict, but if I had a gun to my head, I’d be forced to pick Piripi Tama to win this one.

Ryan Hunt v Zui Quan Tso are up next. These two Heavyweights are almost certain to provide fireworks. Both of these men like to stand and test the chin of their opponent, will they cancel each other out? Will both men be looking counter, or will they just go for the kill? I know many are hoping for the latter! Zui Quan Tso is a respected boxer who wasn’t going to compete in MMA until The Island was created, he believes that this is the truest test of skill and heart there is. “Drunken Fist” hasn’t been out of the 1st round yet and doesn’t see this fight any different, he believes that he’ll drop his opponent within the first 2 minutes and then be at Sully’s soon after.  Ryan Hunt is a local favorite and very vocal fighter who likes to mix it up and go to the bar with the locals, I sat with Ryan a few days ago and asked him about the fight, he had this to say, “Yanno Credible, I think that this fight will be the one to put me into a number one contenders fight. I’ve been putting in my damn blood, sweat, and spit into this and I have a feeling that after I knock this Chinese fella out, I’ll be knocking on the door to a title shot. Now buy me some more beers you dickless kangaroo humper!” While I do have a penis and don’t hump kangaroos (anymore) I’m still picking Ryan Hunt to win this fight, and possibly get a number 1 contenders fight soon after.

The CO-MAIN EVENT is a very exciting fight we see Carlos Newton v Aidan Kincaid go to war in this one! Top free agent Carlos Newton makes his Island FC debut and many fans are highly anticipating this one. Newton is an Olympic gold medal grappler with 3 TWGC world titles and a trail of broken limbs behind him. His submission skills are second to none and he plans on proving that Jiu Jitsu fighters are still very dangerous, “I hope my opponent takes me lightly because I am a grappler, his game plan will be to come at me very cautiously but I have something up my sleeve for him, just wait.” Aidan Kincaid is an Island veteran by now, after losing his first fight he went on to reel off 3 straight wins and is looking for a title shot with a win over Newton. He vows to give Newton his first loss and show him that having useless boxing is going to be his downfall. “Many times fighters avoid me, and for good reason, I’ll ruin your fucking night, and in Carlos’ case, I’m going to ruin his career. He’s all hype and no bite. He thinks QFC fights hold any weight in here, they don’t.” There is definitely some tension in this one, this one will be a war for sure. I’m picking Aidan Kincaid to take home the W in this one though.

MAIN EVENT TIME! WE HAVE Alpha Gamma v Alexander Vermeer! The former champion and the last man to fight for the title in an epic bout, to save humanity….wait, nevermind…but it might give us the next number 1 contender. Alpha Gamma bounced back from his disappointing loss to Hop Sing Jung and tossed Vito Blaze like a salad on his way to a TKO finish. He is determined to get back what he feels is truly his, and know Alexander Vermeer is his next step towards that. He’ll be looking to fight a smart fight in this one and probably be staying on the outside looking to pick his shot against a powerful striker like Vermeer. Alexander Vermeer is looking to bounce back from his upsetting loss to current champ Hop Sing Jung and use Alpha Gamma as his rebound fight to prove he still has what it takes to be a contender. (Side note: This event should really be called contenders…) Vermeer is a relatively quiet fighter but packs a lot of power behind those fists, he seems himself fighting for the title very quickly after this fight. This one is going to be a barn burner (in my best JR voice) and I’m picking Alpha Gamma to take home the W on this day!
