LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Wayne Conner (10-6) vs Stan Judea (6-2)

MAIN CARD

MIDDLEWEIGHT: Doug Pattersson (14-9) vs Friedrich Von Kuschelbar (14-7)

Doug Pattersson has reeled off four straight wins in Legacy after dropping his debut fight to Grado Itsyersel by decision. Pattersson previously fought in the very tough Imperial organization against household names like Ed Gennero and Cid Strife. Pattersson is very tough on the ground, as he possesses great jiu-jitsu and can also deliver ground and pound with the best of them. He certainly needs to shore up his strike defense to become an elite fighter, but he still has a lot of time left in his career. He’ll fight a similar ground oriented fighter in Friedrich Von Kuschelbar. Both of these guys prefer to duke it out on the ground, but Kuschelbar could certainly be the overall better striker on the feet if the fight takes place there. Kuschelbar has faced some stout competition so far in the organization and is a decent 1-2 given his competition level, but this is probably a fight he can’t afford to lose.

LEGACY PREDICTION: KUSCHELBAR BY TKO

WELTERWEIGHT: Jericho Hill (10-4-1) vs Alfred Hitscock (14-6)

Since debuting in Legacy quite a while ago, Alfred Hitscock has been perfect outside of a brutal first round knockout loss to Chiku Maneno. Hitscock was absolutely knocked out cold by a hard right hand in that fight. He’s won the other seven bouts that he’s had inside the promotion and has made a name for himself as a very talented and powerful boxer. He has four knockouts in Legacy that have come by way of one punch, giving you a good idea what kind of power he throws with. He’ll take on Jericho Hill in this fight, who has had a solid run in Legacy as well going 5-2-1. Hill is the far more dynamic striker who mixes in kicks and is just as comfortable in the clinch, but he doesn’t have quite the fight ending power that Hitscock does. It’ll be interesting to see how careful Hill plays it early on. Typically, Hitscock gets a lot of respect early in fights due to his fight ending power, but Hill certainly needs to be aggressive and mix his striking up well to pull out a win here.

LEGACY PREDICTION: HITSCOCK BY TKO

HEAVYWEIGHT: Thomas Bannon (10-5) vs Rodney Garcia (15-4)

Coming off a revenge win over former Legacy Heavyweight champion Culver Crimson, Thomas Bannon is riding a two fight winning streak. Bannon is very unique for a heavyweight because he mixes up his strikes very well and has a penchant for throwing well timed head kicks that catch other heavyweights off guard. Rodney Garcia is a much more one dimensional striker with his mostly boxing attack, but Garcia is a very talented ground fighter who looks to get the takedown and hunt for the submission. Bannon will certainly need to keep this fight standing to have a shot in this fight, one would think. He’ll have a few inches of reach in this fight over Garcia and it’ll be important for him to utilize it to keep Garcia outside and away from his hips. This is your classic grappler versus striker matchup with Bannon as the striker obviously. Where this fight takes place at will more than likely decide the winner.

LEGACY PREDICTION: GARCIA BY SUBMISSION

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: Ed Gennero (20-9) vs © Ravi Shankoli (23-4)

Dominant Legacy Light Heavyweight champion Ravi Shankoli will put his title and 7 fight winning streak on the line against veteran Ed Gennero. Gennero has certainly been around the block in the promotion going 6-2 in his career and is currently on a 3 fight winning streak that earned him this title shot. Both of these guys love to get their hands moving early and often and both guys pack a lot of power as well. There isn’t much to say about this fight style wise because they are similar brawling type boxers, but a decision isn’t out of the pictures due to how well both fighters can manage a fight and keep themselves in fights even when they’re having a rough time. Shankoli appears to be the better striker on paper, so I’m not sure what Gennero can do to tip the scales in his favor here, but it’ll be a treat to watch these two guys go at it in our main event.

LEGACY PREDICTION: SHANKOLI BY TKO

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: Stu Grimson (19-0) vs © Constantine Kermit (13-3)

In our main event, the frightening newcomer to Legacy, Stu Grimson, is taking on the seemingly unbeatable champion in Constantine Kermit. Grimson is 19-0 in his career and has dominated his two Legacy bouts and finished both opponents inside the distance. In fact, Grimson has all but one of his wins by TKO/KO and successfully defended his NEX title 11 straight times before moving on to Legacy. Kermit brings his own 7 fight winning streak into the cage and the vast majority have been by finish as well. Both of these guys are very well rounded strikers who mix in kicks more than most heavyweights and have multiple wins apiece via head kick. Both guys are almost exclusive standup fighters and avoid the clinch at all costs, so it’ll be strength versus strength in this much anticipated matchup. The aura surrounding Stu Grimson is absolutely incredible, but Constantine Kermit is the champion and has been unbeatable as of late. Both of these guys are easily top 15 heavyweights in the world, so it’s no wonder why this such a desirable fight.
