MAIN CARD
WELTERWEIGHT: Galdra Kiddi (27-11-2) vs Project Falcon (11-2)
We have an exciting scrap in the 170 pound division to start off the main card. Project Falcon was on an 11 fight winning streak, including capturing Legacy gold before being defeated by a majority decision in his debut fight in Synchronicity against Kantaro Hoshino for the title. He’ll be facing the red hot Galdra Kidd. Kiddi is coming off back to back performance bonuses, including fight of the night in his last scrap with Tony Benson, a unanimous decision victory. This will mark only the second time Falcon has fought at 170 pounds, but after the war he had with the champion in his last fight, it’s hard to say he loses anything moving up a weight class. Falcon is definitely the balanced kickboxer in the contest and Kiddi fits the mold of a wrestle boxer very well. Falcon will try and overcome a reach disadvantage by going to the legs of Kiddi early and often with kicks. Kiddi will want to keep this fight in boxing range and tighter. He could potentially get the fight into the clinch and drag the smaller Falcon to the ground. If that happens, Kiddi would have a sizable edge on the mat.
SYNCHRONCITY PREDICTION: KIDDI BY DECISION
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Devin Styles (40-20) vs Kimo Ovaska (29-15)
Devin Styles is a former champion in the Synchronicity promotion, but at 37 years of age he has shown very real signs of slowing down lately. Styles has lot 3 of his last 4 fights and hasn’t been particularly impressive in any of them. Styles is a former champion in this division and the heavyweight division. Kimo Ovaska is a former champion in the Rover promotion at 205 pounds and has won 2 of his first 3 fights in Synchronicity. Kimo is almost exclusively a boxer and doesn’t try to incorporate kicks or clinch work into this fights. He does have solid takedown defense that makes it difficult for opponents to keep the fight from playing out on the feet. Styles primarily likes to box as well, but he’s a little more skilled and balanced elsewhere than Ovaska. The story in this fight will be how much of those skills have been depleted by age. For Ovaska, this is a golden opportunity to add an impressive name to his win collection.
SYNCHRONCITY PREDICTION: OVASKA BY TKO
HEAVYWEIGHT: Jacob Moonra (31-10) vs Ranky Scorpion (23-13)
In our next fight, we have a matchup for two heavyweights that will certainly be swinging with bad intentions. Jacob Moonra is a ground and pound wrestler who has 26 of his 30 wins by TKO, but is coming off a loss to Dante Cross Furia that set him back to 2-2 in Synchronicity fights. Ranky Scorpion is essentially a carbon copy of Moonra style wise and was probably the best super heavyweight fighter to ever come through the Aggressive Damage promotion, a top 10 promotion in the world. Scorpion did lose his Synchronicity debut to Dmitry Borschev and has struggled since dropping down to the heavyweight division though. This fight should be pretty simple in nature. The first guy to land a takedown or establish top position should be able to land heavy ground and pound and finish this fight early on. Scorpion will have a massive 12+ inch reach advantage, but will be outweighed by 20 pounds by the very stout Jacob Moonra.
SYNCHRONCITY PREDICTION: SCORPION BY TKO
SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT: Ben Dobson (34-19) vs Phillip Dyson (21-9)
In our co-main event on this card, we have a pair of top 10 super heavyweights in the world slugging it out. Both guys are coming off losses and Dobson has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, but there’s a reason he’s still ranked the 6th best in this division in the world. Dobson is an elite striker who finishes fights in a hurry, but has shown spotty takedown defense at times in his career. Phillip Dyson won’t try to exploit that though because he’s also one of the best strikers in the world, certainly at 265+ pounds. Dyson is 5 years younger and will be the more agile fighter in this one. In this battle of behemoths, one man should get a crowd pleasing knockout win and establish momentum for himself. The loser will have a lot of questions to answer though and will be a long way away from title contention. I would have to lean towards the younger and more athletic Phillip Dyson in this fight, but both guys possess fight ending power.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Eduardo Silva (27-11) vs Michel Telo (21-8)
In our main event, we have a matchup of very talented and exciting light heavyweights who could be very close to title contention with a win tonight. Eduardo Silva is a former MFN and WFC champion at 205 pounds who prefers to do the damage with his hands, but isn’t completely helpless in a kickboxing contest. Silva has a grinding style of fighting that includes some very good dirty boxing. Michael Telo is a former UPG champion at this weight class, but was thrown to the wolves in his Synchronicity debut against top 25 pound for pound fighter Vincent Vinetto. Telo was knocked out in the first round and was absolutely decimated by the dirty boxing of Vinetto. Given Silva’s track record, it should come as no surprise to see Silva working hard to get this fight against the cage and try to test that weakness of Telo’s. Telo will need to keep himself at distance and establish it with leg kicks and solid boxing.
