Island Combat Five Preview
Things are continuing to stay interesting with our fifth event for Island Combat, Island Combat Five! Our last three fights of this card are all title bouts.

The opening fight is in the Super Heavyweight division featuring Ben “Big Bomber” Jones and Kyle “H-Bomb” Harris. Ben comes in with a three win streak out of his three fight career. Ben will try for many clinches, hoping to get you against the cage. Jones also likes to go for takedowns after using his clinch. But Jones also can land powerful and accurate strikes from striking distance. Kyle come sin with an 4 losing streak which is never good for somebody’s morale. Most of his losses happened in the first round. He has an problem with getting controlled while his opponent shoots for an clinch. He also needs some work on his takedown defense. So this is why in my professional opinion the favorite is Ben Jones since he has an game plan that works against Kyle’s weaknesses.

The second fight is in the Bantamweight division featuring Patrick Bullar and Prostate Orgasm. Patrick has dangerous accuracy of an viper when he is striking if he catches an opponent. Then he will try for an clinch where he looks for hooks and body shots. He is also aggressive in standup and can catch his opponents off guard knocking them out with ease. Best bet to beat him is to shoot for as many takedowns as possible, or just keep it on the ground some how. Prostate comes from an loss versus Roy Disgrace in Island Combat three. He lost last fight when his opponents clinch defense caught him off guard and knocked him out. Bu prostate is an slippery customer when on the ground and end up tapping an opponent even if he was the one taken down. So saying this in my professional opinion the favorite is Patrick his viper like fighting can knockout Prostate quick, he just needs to keep it standing with him controlling the fight.

The third fight is in the Welterweight division featuring Winston “The Hound” Roscoe and Ivan “The Eastern Assassin” Makism. Winston comes with an 3 win streak so that is great if he can keep it from it getting to his head. He is known to end fights in the first round, but can also go the distance as well. If Roscoe cannot get the results he wanted from striking distance he goes in with an clinch. Here he tries to miss up his strikes, trying to hit with many different ways, so he can soften and knock out his opponent here if he can. Ivan comes into this fight with an win versus Richard Machan at island Combat three. He will shoot for an early takedown then work his submission game. He also will look for an counter clinch if he can get one latched on. So saying this in my professional opinion the favorite is Winston if he can keep this fight at striking distance. Anywhere else it’s Ivan’s game.

The fourth fight is in the Heavyweight division featuring Heath “The Texas Crazy Horse” Herring and Ulrich Holworth. Heath comes in with two losses which is never good to somebody. Heath is an very slippery customer when he is taken down. He has a little problem with having the fight staying off the ground. He also has a problem when he is controlled. Ulrich has never left the first round in any of his fights. Ulrich has the ability to defend clinches and go foe an takedown if he could. So in my professional opinion the favorite is Ulrich he has great defense from clinch which Heath likes to use. Also he can takedown heath if he tries.

The fifth fight is in the Light Heavyweight division featuring Kyle Long and Shinsuke “King” McNakamara. Kyle likes to control his opponents from the clinch and throw hooks to the body and punches to the head. If he can control it from here he can easily knockdown his opponent. He has a little more problem if he does not go for the clinch. But Kyle can throw down for ages if Shinsuke will do that is the real question. Shinsuke comes with an five fight streak of his five fight career. He also does not leave the first round as well. Shinsuke prefers too go to clinch and throw strikes from there. But he has better striking for striking distance.

The sixth fight is in the Middleweight division featuring “Viking” Arnar Ljus and Don Julio Cesar Chavez. Arnar will not just let somebody take him down and control him. he will fight to the end of his last breath. But he has an issue when he fights with an standup fighter. he has been knocked out if he cannot take the fight tot the ground. But do not let him clinch or just control the fight he will win. Don likes too throw an lot of different single strikes that ate very accurate. He has also have above average takedowns. Then if he goes down this road, he likes to us the armbar.

The seventh fight is in the Bantamweight division featuring Carlos Diego Ferreria and Cub Diaz. Carlos lost his last fight versus Peter Potter because he was controlled by his clinch. So hopefully he has better clinch defense. Carlos will go for an early takedown then go for many submission attempts. He has also been flipped when he goes for an submission. Cub comes in with an four win streak of his four fight career. Cub will then go for an cli ch against the cage. From the clinch he will make some space then throw some elbows. He also throw some elbows when he is controlling the clinch. Cub will also throw elbows and knees to the body too slow his opponent down. So in my professional opinion the favorite is Cub so even if the fight goes for long rounds he can win points with his impressive clinch work.

The eighth fight is for the Bantamweight title featuring Johnie “The Dildo” Kavlitzekis and Royce “Disgrace” Disgrace. Johnie is the Bantamweight champion for an reason he has an crazy eight fight win streak of his eight fight career. Johnie has won all of his fights by some sort of submission. He is an expert in taping people out. He usually ends the fight in the first round with the tap. Johnie likes too throw his takedowns into side control. Johnie does not like to stay in one position when on the ground. Just don’t allow Johnie too control the fight from the ground. Royce comes in with an streak of 7 wins and of his seven fight career. Royce has great cardio and can go the distance. Royce also has the ability to knock down an opponent if he is allowed too. So in my professional opinion the favorite is Johnie is a great fighter he cannot be stopped for sure.

The ninth fight is for the Heavyweight title featuring Ilmari Kuusi and Thedore “Tingling” Thundercunt. Illmari is the champion for an reason. He has wins versus top guys in Island Combat. Illumari has the sense to take a clinch where his back is against the cage and take down his opponent. Illmari will look for the best time too take your down and has the ability to keep most people down. He is an great fighter i cannot say anything bad about him. he has more strengths then weaknesses as a fighter. Thedore is an great challenger for Illmari he is an impressive fighter in the Heavyweight division. Theodore has an granite chin and he can take a cut, bruise, or whatever he takes. Thedore likes to go for the clinch when he can. Thedore looks for an body shot and elbows to the head. Thedore also has great clinch defense when he is controlling his opponent. So in my professional opinion the favorite is Thedore he has the skill set to take Illmari down.

The main event is for the Lightweight division title between Pyry Kontio and Royal Pain. Pyry showed in his last fight versus Nate Gonzalez has the ability too control the fight from the ground. Pyry looks for different positions on the ground changing it up all the time. He has the BJJ to win if the fight goes into an vote for decision. Pyry has the ability to control an opponent so best way to beat him is too stay off the ground. Royal has the ability to end the fight in the first round. But he has the ability too defeat any opponent on the ground. He has an problem with people who have great standup. So in my professional opinion the favorite is Pyry he ia n champion for an reason like I said.
