RFL-56 is an be an event that every MMA fan should enjoy with not only one but two title fights!   The event is taking place on December 22 at the King Theatre located in Los Angeles, CA (11:00 GMT/2:00 PST)   RFL-56 looks to keep up RISE Fight Leagues trend of its exciting events. This is not a card to miss! The first fight of the night is a heavyweight contest between Crazy Lobo and Tony Huge, Lobo is a good boxer with great submission skills, with 4 submission wins to his credit you would think he would try and use his boxing to set up a takedown at some point and try and secure a submission. Trying to stop him from doing so is the New York native Tony "Humble" Huge, Tony is a very well rounded mixed martial artist who holds a purple belt in Bjj and is looking to bounce back after a string of tough losses.
The second bout on this incredible card is between the talented Zhao "Tzulong" Yu and his opponent King Yelats Zhao Yu is a fighter who can be dangerous from just about any position although young in his MMA career, he has shown he has what it takes to continue up the ranks of RISE Fighting League. Looking to halt his momentum however is King Yelats, King puts his top level striking and grappling skills together in a very unorthodox way and regardless of the outcome he tends to make the fight very exciting.     Next on the card we have Jim "Super" Sterntz taking on Josh "Little Bull" Roffen, a fight that matches up two promising prospects both looking to make a name for themselves in the shark tank that is the Middle Weight division of the RISE Fighting League. Sterntz is a young fighter without many holes in his abilities and holds a purple belt in Bjj which could prove to come in handy against his opponent Roffen who holds a blue belt. "Little Bull" however is riding a hot streak and has proven the ability to stop his opponents and outlast them for the decision. The winner will certainly skyrocket his stock in the RISE 185 lb. division.     Mono "The Great Muchacho" Loco vs Min "Cursed" Halloway matches up two very young and popular fighters in the 145 lb. division. Mono Loco is one of the better young grapplers turned MMA in recent years with remarkable wrestling and ability to control the fight on the ground, holding a brown belt in Bjj makes him very dangerous when it comes to the submission game. "Cursed" Halloway is however on another level when it comes to his boxing skills, if he can keep the fight standing it should be a long night for his opponent. An amazing boxing game paired with good wrestling and a blue belt in Bjj makes Min Halloway dangerous in every aspect. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.     In our second middleweight bout on the card we have Vercingetorix Frenchy vs Max Onera. Frenchy may possibly have one of the most well-rounded skill sets of any of the fighters on the card, able to stop the fight wherever the fight goes Vercingetorix is always a fan favorite. The same can be said however about his opponent Max Onera, Max comes into the fight boasting some strong boxing abilities and also a brown belt in Bjj. A winner of 2 Fight of the Night awards along with 3 Submission of the night honors, Max Onera is looking to put on another award winning show against Vercingetorix.     Chief "Red" Wolf and Mike "Swick" Quick look to take the next step in cementing their names into contention for the RISE Light heavyweight title which will be defended later tonight. Chief "Red" Wolf is a ground fighter and a submission specialist with 7 submission victories to his name and 2 submission of the night victories. Mike Quick however looks to capitalize on his superior striking abilities as he already owns 3 KO of the night honors to his name. "Swick" needs to keep the fight standing and Wolf needs to get the fight to the ground if either fighter wants to have success. This fight will come down to who can execute their game plan and impose their strengths the best.       "The Creepin’ Peeper" Ariel At Night and Valerio "Warhead" Bartoli is an interesting matchup that pits an undefeated powerhouse in Valerio Bartoli against "The Creepin’ Peeper" a ground game specialist. Ariel At Night is a black belt in Bjj and a very strong wrestler with no shortage of power, having won 6 fights by (T)KO. Ariel may hold a slight advantage on the ground so look for him to bring the fight there. Bartoli looks to be one of the brightest prospects even being a former RISE Welterweight champion before being stripped due to injury. "Warhead" looks to maintain his perfect record and prove that he deserves another shot at the title.

The first of the two title fights looks to be an instant classic between the current welterweight champion and long-time RISE competitor Jhin "The Sniper" Markell (12-4-0) and the former champion Henry "HANK" Aron (12-4-0) Jhin seems to hold a slight advantage in the submission game with 8 finishes by subission and holding a brown belt in BJJ while Aron holds a purple belt. Though both fighters are great wrestlers Henry Aron may have a slight advantage in the power department as he has 10 (T)KO wins to his record. Both fighters are uber popular and have won two fight of the night honors each in their respective careers so this one is sure to excite!
The main event on this fight card will feature Champion Daniel "The Hammer" Orndorf (9-2-0) and Lighty "205" LightHeavyweight (15-4-0) (a fitting name for his chosen weight class) squaring off for the 205lb championship. Daniel Orndorf has an exciting style and you know every time he steps into the octagon it is going to be fireworks! Orndorf has not had a single fight go to the scorecards in his career, while Lighty has only had one fight go to the judges! Both fighters also had a spectacular outing in their respective last fights, Orndorf fought against Henry Aron who he absolutely dominated winning the championship by (T)KO in the very first round and without taking a single strike from his opponent! While LightHeavyweight manhandled Brad James (who only had 1 pro fight on his record before the bout), controlling every aspect of the fight, and showed remarkable clinch abilities. This bout at least on paper is one that no fight fan can afford to miss! I predict an exciting fight from the opening bell and I doubt we will hear the final bell of this one! These guys are absolute killers and are always looking for the finish!     I would like to give a special thanks to the RFL-56 merchandise partner Groove Gear for their hand in making the event possible and the RISE Fighting League for putting on such great events for the fans!
