 HFC 1: Genesis

Main Event: Samart Payakaroon (2-0-0) vs Death Minister (1-1-0)

This fight features two solid young fighters with bright futures.  First up, undefeated Payakaroon who is 2-0 all time coming off a victory over Taka Cruise in Core Combat III.  In this bout Payakaroon wins via unanimous dicision just as he did his previous fight.  He flourished in the stand up mixing in punches and kicks well and being far more aggressive than Cruise.  Visual proof (and physical for Cruise) of his excelent training in Muay Thai.  I don't know if it was the gameplan going in or if Cruise was trying to play defensively, but this fight could have easily ended in a K.O.  Props to Cruise for hanging in there despite all that punishment.
Facing off against Payakaroon will be Death Minister who is also coming off an impressive win in his last bout at Core Combat IV against Nick Hopkins.  Minister is well versed in the arts of Muay Thai and put it to good use against Hopkins knocking him out less than a minute into the first round.   His opponent didn't even land a single strike!
This should be an entertaining headline that stays standing and shows us what a gold old fashion brawl really looks like.  I'm excited to see this fight and who will come out on top.  The winner of this bout will be in line to fight for the belt next month, so this is a very important fight for these fighters!

Co-Main Event: Johnny Gravity vs Rand Madness (Under Offer)

3rd Match: Jeff Foster (1-1-0) vs Tim McGee (1-1-0)

This bout features two fighters come into this match sporting a 1-1 professional MMA record.  McGee coming of a win in his last bout, and Foster looking to rebound from a loss in his.  McGee is a brown belt in BJJ and is a submission specialist... who is without a submission victory to this point in his young career.  Will he get his first against Foster?
Foster comes in off a loss to Yada in his last bout via submission.  McGee will definately be looking for a submission against Foster, but with his mix of boxing and wrestling, maybe he can keep the fight standing and defend the takedown.  If he does get taken down, his wrestling will be put to the test to keep out of one of those submissions.

4th Match:  Christopher Graves (0-1-0) vs Javor Mitokoshiak (0-2-0) (Under Offer)

5th Match:  Nick Hopkins (0-2-0) vs Tyson Law (0-0-0)

This mathup in the 170 division is a bit of a mystery.  Hopkins is searching for his first win against a young opponent who's yet to step into the ring for a professional fight.  Nick needs rebound in a big way and Law is looking to lay down the law and make a name for himself in his debut.

6th Match: Hirosho Papo (1-1-0)  vs Oliver King (0-0-0)

Papo enters this fight as the favorite with a 1-1 record.  He's a strong wrestler who's taking his first fight in the HFC after a dissapointing loss to Chael Bisping in his only SMASH fight.  He'll be looking to establish himself against King in this bout.  Papo will be looking for  the take down as he steadily looks to get into position to unleash some ground and pound on his opponent.
King comes in to this fight looking for his first professional MMA win.  He's a Muay Thai fighter who we really don't know much about.  I can guess he'll look to keep the fight standing, and if he does so, I will pick King to walk away with the victory.  If it ends up on the ground, chances are it will be with Papo's hand raised.

7th Match:  Thao Quang Nguyen (2-2-0) vs Inigo Montoya (0-1-0)

Nguyen is a very solid young fighter with good Muay Thai and solid boxing.   Coming off a loss, he will be looking to bounce back by keeping this fight standing and using his striking and clinch offense to score a victory.
Montoya comes in fresh off a loss in his last fight.  He will be looking to come out on top and get his first win in the HFC.  He's a strong boxer and has good wrestling skills.  Chances are, he won't want to stand toe to toe with Nguyen and will likely be looking to get the fight to the ground where he can work some ground and pound.
This fight could go either way and I hope it's very entertaining!

8th and final Match:  Rikuto Ryuunosuke (0-0-0) vs Jons Rons (1-1-0) (Under Offer)

This 145lb bout features newly signed fighter Rikuto Ryuunosuke facing off in his first professional fight against a more seasoned Jons Rons.  Rons is coming off a TKO loss in his last bout is hoping to turn things around.  He's a strong boxer and decent wrestler.  If he can keep Ryuunosuke guessing, he should be able to come away with a victory.
Ryuunosuke, on the other hand, is a ground specialist.  A decent wrestler and brown belt in BJJ, he'll most likely be looking to take the fight to the ground and dominate from there.
Another mystery fight, and another match that should help us better understand the fighters we have in this division as we sort out who will be setting themselves up as contenders, and who are still pretenders.
So the beginning will be written at HFC 1: GENESIS!!
