Hello everybody,
Last night CMMA 13 took place in Hayashi's Lounge in Los Angelas. It was an amazing night of fights again and we have 2 new champions, a new light heavyweight champion and super heavyweight champion!
In the main event we had Saidou "Effacer" Toure (6-1) taking on Nial "The Lighthouse" Dunne (3-0) for the light heavyweight championship. It promised to be a very exciting fight, and surely it was! Toure used his clinchwork very effectively throughout the whole fight. It won him the 2 rounds, but it in 3rd Dunne seemed to be able to break the clinch and controlled the right from striking distance. Though in the 4th Toure was able to clinch again and rock Dunne from there. Dunne was tough, managed to recover and fight through the round. In the 5th Toure also knocked Dunne down, but wasnt able to finish. Dunne showed great endurance and toughness, but it wasnt enough to win the belt. Saidou Toure won a unanimous decision and became our 1st ever 205lbs belt. Congratulions champ, great victory!
In the co-main event the super heavyweight title was on the line. Koskisen Hanski (2-0) took on Zbigniew Pacula (2-0), Both fighters undefeated and hungry to take the belt. It was a classic striker vs grappler matchup. The title fight only lasted 32 seconds, Pacula came out trying to take Hanski to the ground immediately. Hanski defended his takedowns very well and did a great job countering with big power shots. That proved to be a great gameplan! Pecula kept going for takedowns and Hanksi kept countering him till a big shot landed flush. Hanski smelled he could finish him and jumped on Pacula with more strikes. The ref saw enough and saved Pacula from more damage. Koskisen Hanski is now our super heavyweight champion....congratulations champ!
The rest of the card was also amazing. So another big thanks to all fighters and managers who were part of this fantasic event!
