WILLIAM THOMPSON IV VS NEWTON DIAZ

The first fight of this card features Thompson who is a fierce striker and Diaz with excellent BJJ skills. Diaz instantly goes to the clinch as the fight begins and lands a beautiful takedown. With both fighters on the ground, Diaz lands some good ground and pound strikes to Thompson. Diaz also doing a good job in not allowing Thompson to get back on his feet, something he is skilled in. It looks to me like Diaz got a hold of his opponents arm and Thompson frantically taps out from a tight kimura lock! What a way to start this event!

FRED POWERS VS CRANJIS MCBASKETBALL

Cranjis Mcbasketball didn't seem to confident in his interview yesterday so let's see how this fight goes. Powers, fighting to his advantage, wrestles Mcbasketball down. Both fighters looking for submission opportunities here in this early showing. However, Powers now looking for a kimura lock and he...... GOT IT! Mcbasketball taps out and Powers wins by submission in the 1st round.

WILLY KIMBER VS HIROYUKI SHIMADA

With our first two fights ending in submission, here we got another fight with two good BJJ fighters hungry for a win. Both fighters stand up in the beginning of the fight, trading shots. After realizing that it is not working, Kimber takesdown Shimada even though Shimada defended it well for a second. Kimber looking real composed on the ground, is landing some big strikes to his opponent. Shimada getting tired here and Kimber sees this and takes advantage by grabbing his arm and locking in a kimuara lock. Shimada has nothing to do but tap and Kimber is vicotorius again. WOW, all 3 fights so far have been won by a kimura lock submission.

HARVE SPALDING VS JESPER LIGHT

The fight begins and not a lot of action so far. Both fighters testing their opponents in this early round. Spalding was able to land a few shots at the end of round 1. The bell rings for round 2 and Spalding decides to clinch. However, Light is now controlling the clinch and it is Spalding now looking to escape. Light is looking a bit sloppy here with his striking, missing a bunch of punches so far. Spalding landing shots with ease here in the clinch. Spalding, eventually gets out of the clinch and lands some good strikes which hurts Light. The final bell rings for round number 3 and Spalding is continuing his domination, hitting Light with all he got. The fight is over and Spalding wins by unanimous decision.

THE GIANT VS AMBROOS DE VRIES

Two heavy-hitters going at it here in this fight, this is almost guaranteed a knockout. A couple of missed shots here early and De Vries clinches and puts The Giant in a vulnerable position against the cage. De Vries lands a couple of big shots and The Giant has been cut. A couple more powerful body shots and uppercut lands for De Vries. While in the clinch, The Giant lands a clean elbow to De Vries's head which cuts him wide open. That could be a huge momentum shift for The Giant! However, that was not the case as De Vries continued to land big strikes over and over again. The bell rings which signals to the fighters that round 1 is over, man The Giant must be happy. In round 2, De Vries continued where he left off, landing body shots, leg kicks, head strikes, and etc. Nothing going for The Giant here except that the round is over and he has survived to see the next round. However, in the last and final round, De Vries upped the tempo and landed huge strikes to the head and The Giant eventually goes down and De Vries finishes him off! A huge applause from the audience for a remarkable performance by Ambroos De Vries.

MARC MURAT VS SAEID GHOLIZADEH

This one will be two undefeated fighters with knockout power looking to make a name for themselves in their division. Gholizadeh doing a good job here counter punching some of the missed shots by Murat. Gholizadeh controlling the fight right now, landing big body punches and head strikes. Murat looking for the takedown but can't seem to find the openings while Gholizadeh is tearing him apart. Murat barely survives the round there and here comes round number two. With Gholizadeh's momentum from the 1st round, he continues dominating Murat with crisp body shots. Murat is gassed and Gholizadeh stops him with a big right hand! The fight is over and Saeid Gholizadeh is declared victorious!

JACOB WHITE VS MANNYYY PACQUIAOOO

Both fighters making their BLAZE debut here, lets see how this goes. White landing some good early shots here...AND BOOM, White lands a massive head kick and Pacquiaooo goes down. White lets Pacquiaooo get up and both fighters trade jabs. White hits Pacquiaooo with more body and head strikes. He lands one more head kick which puts Pacquiaooo down and a couple of more shots which forces the referee to step in and stop this fight! What a win for Jacob White!

RIO DE JANEIRO VS MARCUS MATTHISON

The fight begins and Matthison is instantly the aggressor here, early on as he takes De Janeiro down. But, that could've been his biggest mistake as De Janeiro is very experienced on the ground and is looking for a submission here but no luck. Matthison is also looking for a submission but De Janeiro defends it well. De Janeiro is now in dominant position and locks in a kimura lock in which Matthisson is forced to tap. Rio De Janeiro showed that he is on a different class in the 145lb division!

HENRY KEATY VS RUSSEL TARIC

Onto the co-main event as both fighters get a loud pop from their entrances. Keaty takes Taric down and is looking for a submission here. Taric is doing a good job defending it but Keaty is just too good as he forces his opponent to tap with an armbar!

ATTILA THE HUN VS JACK RIDER - 265+ CHAMPIONSHIP

The main event of today's event has a lot at stake. Both fighters are undefeated and one will become the first ever BLAZE champion! Rider is working the body here early on which gets The Hun tired. Rider notices that his opponent is fatigue and lands a big right hand which sends The Hun to the canvas! He is able to get back up but not until Rider knocks him out cold with a head kick! Your new super heavyweight champion and first ever BLAZE champion, Jack Rider!!!

This was an historic event for BLAZE MMA and I want to thank all of you for being apart of this. Also, a huge shout out to MKFC for sponsoring our events. And, finally, keep on working and BLAZE IT UP!
