 Hello folks and welcome back with us as we get ready for yet another action filled night over in Sydney! Tonight, SPPS 88 kicks off at The Bridge for 10,000 screaming Sucker Punch fans! Once again, I’m Hare Rumpler and I’ll be with you now for this look forward along Donkey “Dan” here, our sensational analyst and co-host! We’re both ready for some fun stuff this evening, hope you are too!
Quick Edit: The last four fights tonight will see Nati stepping in along with Donkey! Being she just begged me to take her to Chick-Fil-A, which cost me some time getting this ready, I bargained with her to do the last four while I finished the rest. Apparently she was pretty desperate for Chick-Fil-A. Not sure that’s the best choice the night before a XC meet, but hey, that’s on her!
Tonight you get a little bit of everything folks, minus any championship action. That’s right, every single weight class here at Sucker Punch is represented this evening. And just because there isn’t a belt on the line doesn’t mean we don’t have some big time action on tap! Ronnie Bass and Rick Segura will headline things in the Main Event this evening in a battle that will determine which of these two Welterweights is close to getting a Top Contender status!
The Co-Main Event tonight will have stellar Light Heavyweights Topuria and Veidt going at it and you better believe this is the biggest fight of their careers! The winner of this one will go on to fight the survivor of Fury vs. Parker for the belt! So close…yet so far…one more win and one of these guys has reached his dream shot!
There’s more where that came from as well folks! Leading up to the big final two fights fans will see well known names like Tribute and Bloode at Light Heavyweight, Cobain taking on a newcomer to the Sucker Punch house in the Lightweight division and Silva and Krol getting a bit crazy as they will be the second pairing of big boys on the evening for the Heavyweight division! That’s just the Main Card folks and trust me, you don’t want to miss the Undercard action that leads up to it.
