Welcome to Caged Dragon Fight Club's First Event

First Event Lightweight Division - Nassir Bey vs Aleksander Ragnarsson

In our first event Bey is looking to improve upon his 1-1 record while Ragnarsson steps into the cage for the first time. This will be a battle for positioning from the get go with Ragnarsson looking to stay away from the ground game of Bey, where he has a clear advantage. Should Ragnarsson keep his feet under him he will be looking to punish Bey with his superior Muay Thai skills. An exciting matchup to kick things off for the evening!

Second Event Lightweight Division - Zy Meth vs Carlos Guitierez

Meth comes in with something to prove after going 1-1 in his first two professional fights and is looking to do so against the newcomer Guitierez. This is shaping up to be an all out war with both fighters heavily favoring a stand up match with the classic Muay Thai from Meth going head to head with Guitierez's  boxing skillset. Both fighters appear well trained in their field respectively so watch closely, this one could be over  in a flash should one of them squeeze a heavy strike through his opponents defenses.

Third Event Lightweight Division - Brian Covington vs Jon Biko

Covington and Biko come into this match with but an inch in height difference, but an almost ten pound weight advantage to Covington. We will have to see if he can use that extra weight to his advantage, or if it will merely slow him down against Biko. Covington is looking like an all around skill guy early in his career while Biko comes in with a solid BJJ background. This match will see if Covington can avoid the various submissions Biko is no doubt planning for him.

Fourth Event Heavyweight Division - Emil Henriksen vs Dwite Schruuuuuuuut

The towering Henriksen steps into the cage for the first time against a 1-0 Schruuuuuuuut where he will doubt try to use his massive frame to his advantage. If he can keep his distance or manage to slip out of the big man's grasp the man with the eight u's will be looking to add a second double u (from a win...get it?)to his record. Schruuuuuuuut has the superb boxing skills which will no doubt be on full display for this fight.

Fifth Event Welterweight Division - Magomed Magomedov vs Ismail Melikov

Magomedov will be putting his perfect 2-0 record on the line against Melikov and his 1-0 record, where only one man will walk away undefeated. Melikov has a slightly better stand up game than Magomedov, but both fighters look very evenly matched in their respective ground games. This fight may come down to pure heart for the fighter who can outlast the other and wants it more, one to watch closely.

Sixth Event Welterweight Division - Tomahawk Mankiller vs Abubakar Magomedsharipov

This fight will see Mankiller putting his lethal Muay Thai skills and his unblemished 1-0 record on the line facing off against an opponent with a strong ground game in Magomedsharipov. The key once again here will be if Magomesharipov can manage to weather the flurry of blows he will be facing and drag Mankiller to the ground. That is no small task, but should the men go to the ground Mankiller could very much be in trouble.

Seventh Event Featherweight Division - Max Pablo vs Jesus Valle

Pablo has a definite reach advantage over the 1-0 Valle, though both men tip the scales at pretty much the same weight. These fighters will be looking to keep to their feet to employ superb boxing skills for Pablo while Valle will be looking to clinch up to use his superior Muay Thai skills to his advantage. Do they come out swinging or play a patient and careful game? That will be answered on Saturday night!

Eighth Event Light Heavyweight Division - Khalil Burnett vs Heinlick Creek

Creek comes into this fight looking to avenge the loss he suffered in his first professional fight against the 1-0 record of Burnett. This fight should be a classic display of Muay Thai vs Muay Thai skills as both men are highly skilled in that discipline. Burnett has slightly better wrestling skills while Creek as the edge in pure boxing should that come into play at all in this battle. Will Creek be able to turn his record around early with a win here or does Burnett ride the momentum built up from his first win? This one should be a battle to not miss.

Second Main Event Middleweight Division - Dylon Taylor vs Jaun Valdemoro

The taller and heavier Taylor brings his 1-0 record into the cage against Valdemoro in his first professional fight for the co-main event of the evening. Taylor has the edge in BJJ and will clearly be looking to lock down his opponent and force him to tap after going the distance in his first fight for a unanimous decision. This could be a problem against the highly skilled Valdemoro who holds a slight edge in wrestling ability. Neither fighter is a dangerous striker, but Valdemoro holds a slight advantage with some boxing and MT training worked into his regimen. This should be a hard fought match on the ground where both size and skill will come into play.

Main Event Welterweight Division - Tyler Crowe vs Konsta Lehto

In our main event on Saturday we have two fighters coming in with identical 1-0 records on the line. Crowe has a slight Muay Thai advantage though probably not enough to consistently try to keep the  match upright. Lehto meanwhile will be looking for an opportunity to take the game to the ground where he can use his superior wrestling skills to control the flow of the action and force a submission without exposing himself to Crowe countering. with both men holding a Blue belt in BJJ is should be a tight match to finish off the night!
