Sucker Punch Pro Series 101 - Event Preview

Event Preview: Sucker Punch Pro Series 101
Sucker Punch Pro Series
2021-12-10, Los Angeles, LA Memorial Colossuseum
Author:Hare Rumpler

We’ve got SPPS 101 coming at you folks tonight and Sucker Punch faithful on the West Coast of the United States get back to back doses of nut-cracking, dingle dangle crunching action as we return to the LA Memorial Coliseum!  Apparently class is in session with some remedial action to ensure everybody knows how to properly protect themselves with a full class load, including “Watch Your Nuts 101”, “Dingle Dangle Defense 101” and one of our favorites, “Guarding the Family Jewels 101”.  After tonight, we fully expect everybody to be ready for the 102 series of these classes!

As always, I’m Hare Rumpler and I’ll be joined by my friend and analyst, Donkey “Dan”!  As usual I’ve dragged my feet a bit this week (I have lots of valid excuses, but you don’t want to hear excuses!) so we’re trying to get this thing out just hours before the big event!  It’s exciting to be over in LA again and while we won’t have a Title Fight on tap this evening we will have plenty of great action.

Timmy Flowers (love that name!) and Nikolai Tsavieva (I can’t even pronounce that one, but I’m guessing for Russians it’s probably pretty straightforward!) will get us going this evening as they bring us Lightweight action straight out of the gate.  They’re the first of three Lightweight bouts this evening with the second closing out the Undercard and our final one being our Main Event, a big time matchup between Evan Duvernay and Kurt Cobain!

We also have a couple Welterweight contests ready to go, as they’ll follow-up our opening act tonight with Alex Steel li and Ceedee Queen keeping everybody warmed up and pumped for more, more, more!  The other bout is up in the Main Card as we get some UNRESTRICTED action going between Sucker Punch newcomers Tytus Aleksy and Shock Linewood!  All eyes will be on that fight as there is a very good chance that by April when we go full-on unrestricted they’ll be chomping at the bit to give the top of our division a run for its money.  Quite literally, but the belt is what they’ll also have their eyes on!

Light Heavyweight action is the remainder of the Undercard in the third and fourth fight spots tonight as we’ll get Bianchi and Ecker into the cage, a fight I’m dying to see for its serious “boom” potential, as well as MORE UNRESTRICTED action as YB Sol Brotha takes on Damian Drake!  Both new to SPPS and both intent upon showing us that the future of Sucker Punch truly is unrestricted and unrestrained!  Drake is here for an extended contract and while Brotha is on a single fight moonlighting contract obviously we’ll be trying to lure him into sticking around!

We also have a pair of Middleweight contests this evening and, certainly not last or least, a very awesome Featherweight contest that’s certainly one to watch for tonight.  For the Middleweights we’ll see the pairing of Youssef Alaoui and Nick Barkley!  Now, I cannot even begin to tell you the sparks that should be flying over that one as they open the Main Card because both are new to Sucker Punch and both come in with really quality records in hand!  Somebody is going to win and win big and make a big move straight into the upper end of this division tonight!

Fuhren and Duarte will be the final fight before the Main Events and I don’t have to tell anybody that these two are some of the highest skilled fighters at Middleweight!  This is not a fight that either can take lightly, but it’s certainly a fight that can propel the winner right back into the contender picture.

Last, and as I said, definitely not least is the Co-Main Event of the evening which will have the power striking, former Featherweight champ, Jihadi Joseph squaring off in a classic striker versus grappler contest against also former champ Chulalongkorn!  Now, I say classic contest, but Chula has proven he can also strike if he decides that’s the path to success, so this fight comes with all kinds of questions and variables which is absolutely going to make it fun as hell…for us…and probably not so much for Fuhren’s camp as they try to figure out what approach Chula’s camp will take tonight!

So there we go!  A hell of an intro this evening huh?!?  That alone could have been, and probably would have been, a full preview for most cards elsewhere!  But nah, not here!  Let’s grab a quick word about our merchandise partner and sponsor and then really get into these fights!

Shadow Warrior Nutrition will be on hand again at the event tonight and I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate having them as our merchandise partner and sponsor here at Sucker Punch!  Do yourself a favor…better yet, do your fighters who you spend so much time developing and preparing a favor…and stop by one of their many stands tonight or visit their store to grab some of their Shadow Warrior Tea 160Q.  It is literally the best energy loss reduction supplement money can buy and will keep your fighter in the gym training rather than sitting days out resting!  Stop on over there today, you will NOT be disappointed!

Now, let's get to it!
