 Welcome back Sucker Punch fans! We’re all set and ready to kick off SPPS 147 over at the LA Memorial Colliseum this evening and while there aren’t any titles on the line there is plenty of fun and excitement cued up for you folks!
Folks will have plenty of time to get into the arena, get their drinks and generally let the atmosphere build as we have a trio of casual sparring bouts set to go to kick off the undercard. That’ll include two fights and four fighters total from the Muchacho camp and then two of my own fighters getting a chance to show what they have in the third fight.
Things pick up quickly after those sparring bouts when Alaoui and Stanley get in there to represent the Middleweight divison and the Undercard is closed out with a big boy Heavyweight showdown between my own Manivong and ZaDarius Haden! That’s going to be one pulse pounding fight…and should end in a finish I think!
Our Main Card is full of big names trying to work themselves up the ladder and into contender status in their respective divisions. Two of the fights, both the opener of the Main Card and the Co-Main Event, are Featherweight contests that feature huge names in the division such as former champ Michael Aalto and another former champ in Baptiste! Not against one other mind you, but certainly setting the tone and pace for the division! A pair of Middleweight bouts will also grace the Main card with the second fight being a huge showdown between Psiris Fuhren and Tanaka Matsuda. The Main Event of the evening will be the other Middleweight contest that pits Chip Nickel against James Hunt with the winner likely getting a Top Contender battle with the waiting Silent Bob!
Also, while not one of the Main Events, a big battle is on tap in the middle of the Main Card between Mister Mediocre and Vinicius Verreira to see who can snag the next title shot in the Lightweight division once the Logan/Cobain conflict has sorted itself out!
So there we go, lots on tap and now it’s time for us to get to the detailed action right after we hear from our sponsor and merchandise partner!
