Good news for fight fans across the globe today, as Hardcore Fighting Championship prepares to make its return. Headed by management veteran Aleksey Markov, the organisation is based in St Petersburg, Russia. It is understood that the new company will have 8 divisions, from Bantamweight to Heavyweight.
Markov has done a brilliant job in building up his roster so quickly, considering 70 fighters have been signed to the organisation in only two weeks, and these fighters are of decent quality, and one fighter on the roster that has caught my eye is Devon Sage. Managed by the experienced Todd Westacott, the Maryland native has gone 7-0 on the regional circuit, never going out of the first round, with all 7 victories coming by submission, Sage is surely one to watch for the future.
I actually got a chance to talk to Markov about his plans for the reborn company. In the interview he stated, “The most important thing is that we plan to return to the top 10 in the near future, as well as raise our own stars that will leave a mark on the mmatycoon universe”.
A former top 10 company, and already the third ranked company in St Petersburg, I am expecting big things from the new HFC.
