 BFT 134 Preview

Heavyweight - "The Butcher" Yama Lakes (4-2) [BFT 2-2] vs "Demolition Man" Alistair Overeem (2-0) [BFT 0-0]

The Muy ThaI , BJJ hybrid is good at what he does. 3 of his 4 wins are by submission. He seems to be especially fond of arms. So a quick hint for anyone who goes to the ground with him: keep a close eye on your arms.

If Yama has a short fight career, then Alistair has a micro career. But for that, he's managed to avaoid getting a loss so far. Even more impressive than that? He's only thrown 8 strikes so far in 2 wins. Watch out world!

Prediction: I'm going to give it to Lakes. I think he has what it takes to bring things to the ground and get the sub. Lakes by RD 1 Sub.

Light Heavyweight - Paul Baksteen (4-2) [BFT 3-1] vs Kobe "Black Mambo" Brian (2-0) [BFT 0-0]

Paul Baksteen. Him and his big afro have had some chance to fight some of the best BFT has to offer. Ythomas Riley and Shogun BDown are a few people that he faced. He's never been out of the first round, win or lose. Maybe we'll see what he has to offer in the later rounds in this one.

"Black Mambo." He calls himself an ameteur, but he has done well for himself so far. He has 2 fights and 2 first round knockouts. He has some mighty fine kicks, able to end a fight at any time.

Prediction: A knockout. I'm going with Brian. We've seen Baksteen get knocked out before, but not Brian. Brian by RD1 KO.

Light Heavyweight - Titus "Tko" Kahoohalphala (6-3) [BFT 4-3] vs Tommy "The Machine" Gunn (19-15-2) [BFT 0-0]

He may have lost his last two, but not his luster. He was a recent title challenger, and knocks out (almost) every opponent that he beats. Look at his victories over Tony Twister and John Kennedy. His stuff is pretty tough, so keep your eyes open in that second round.

Not to be mistaked with Tommy Gun [Our guy has 2 n's]. This guy is a warrior. 10 KO's in 19 victories. 36 fights to his name. He is apart of the Triumph United Hall of Fame, where he alotted some brutal wars and some ugly knockouts. He'll try to recreate some of those things again.

Prediction: Look for the "Tko" tonight. I think that Titus will be able to do what he does best: knocking people out. Kahoohalphala by RD 2 TKO.

Co-Main - Lightweight - Suchart "Fishbowl" Chaowanungkarn (16-13-1) [BFT 15-10-1] vs "The Meatman 2.0" Derek Scully (7-5) [BFT 0-2]

Do you smell that? It smells like "Fishbowl" wants to make it tow in a row. His last outting was against Pacquiao. Don't remember it? That's a shame. There were FIREWORKS! Like Fight of the Night Fireworks. You guys who follow BFT know that this guys is serious business. He had a shot at the title not so long ago and he could get up there soon.

"The Meatman" is here and ready to ready to get to work. He doesn't have many fights to his name, but what he does have is some impressive skills. He has 6 submissions in 7 victories. And even though his two BFT performances did not end in his favor, he is no push over. Wait and see, He'll bring something wonderful to the fight.

Prediction: ... but not this fight. I have "Fishbowl." This guys is well seasoned and has faced some of the top guys here. Chaowanungkarn by UD.

Main Event - Lightweight - Jonathan "Genocide" Briggs vs Johnny Woo

And now for the main event. And the "Genocide" is ready to bring it. 13 KO's in 13 wins. A recent transplant into BFT's 155 weight class. His last performance was a show stopper agaisnt Atsushi. This guy can throw leather like it is nobody's business. I mean he just goes to destroy anyone who has what it takes to stand across from him. He is proud of his Massacre MMA Welterweight Belt and is looking another one for his mantle.

And Johnny Woo wants to do everything he can to prevent Briggs from getting the victory he wants. Woo has been on a roll recently winning 3 in a row. He's even got a Submission of the night against Double Rainbow thrown in there. His losses have only been to top guys. Like Kuroda Atsushi and Enrico Mazzarri. And His wins? Guys like Pedo Bear, Darrne Colby, and Hussak Claw sound firmiliar? I thought so. He might be on his way to a title shot with a 'W' tonight.

Prediction: I think there's gunna be a "Genocide" in this one. He's got the right skills to stop Woo from riding the wave of victory that's been going on. Briggs by RD 2 TKO.
