Andrei vs Tali WVT 80

 The stage has been set now since Andrei's highly impressive debut against long time WVT gatekeeper Motts. Much like Anderson Silva's debut in the UFC - Andrei barely missed and did not get hit before knocking Motts out in under two minutes. The domination shown in that fight gave Alfred Winterbottom not choice but to set up a mouthwatering clash between Andrei and long time WVT champion Tali Ihantala. Tali has been on a path of destruction - with only one loss in his previous twenty fights which has been brutally avenged twice now. WVT set the occasion as WVT 80 in the world famous Tokyo Bowl. 

The lights go down as the main event of the evening is upon us. The music of Andrei Kersikov blares around the stadium as the fans jump to their feet to get a glimpse of the Ukrainian monster. Marko and Dmitri lead the procession with Andrei flanked by his twin cousins Boyko and Bokya. His brother Sergej and cousin Vitali slightly further back. Bogdan and Roman round off the clan as they slowly and purposefully make their way to the cage. 

Tali walks in with no entrance music or no thrills, his head bowed as he walks towards the cage with his mind on one thing - victory. Tali stands a few centimeters taller than Andrei but Andrei has the clear weight advantage. There is no touch of gloves between the pair as they go to their corners and await for the bell. 

Both fighters start off tentatively throwing fakes before Andrei commits with a leg kick which is countered by a hard hitting right hand to the jaw. Tali takes the offensive however he misses with the quick right hand before landing with a solid leg kick of his own. Tali continues to put on the pressure before Andrei times him up as Tali rushes in with a double jab and Andrei smokes him with a body kick. Tali tries again to throw a hook but it is Andrei who steps up in the pocket and lands a beauty of a jab to keep Tali's hands held high. Andrei then uses Tali as a kicking beam as he unloads two harsh body kicks with the second one landing with a sickening thud. Tali steps back clearly winded by the shots. Tali moves just out of the way of a left hand before eating another body kick. Tali gets desperate and tries to land a big right but Andrei steps out of the way and lands a beautiful jab which opens up a cut under Tali's eye. Andrei trying to take control gets cocky and tries to throw a hook to the body which is telegraphed and countered by a lovely one-two by Tali. Tali still proving to be dangerous tries to step up but is smacked with a big straight right to the body which sees him stumble against the cage. Andrei then proceeds to step it up throwing a quick leg kick before going to the mid section again. Tali is all over the place at this point and can barely catch his breath as Andrei unleashes a relentless assault of body shots and leg kicks. Tali finally times one up and lands a quick jab which pisses Andrei off. Andrei dips down to his left and lands a beautiful body shot before dipping down again - Tali in anticipation moves his hands low but Andrei spins and lands a picture perfect spinning back fist which puts Tali straight to sleep. No follow up shots were required as the ref went over to tend to Tali who was beaten from pillar to post tonight in a statement victory for Andrei. 

The master of ceremonies has taken to the stage and starts the announcement 

Ladies and gentlemen, after three minutes and seventeen seconds of the very first round we have a winner by knockouttttt and newwww WVY Openweight Champion of the World Andreiiiiiiiii Kersikovvvvvv!!! 

Andrei grabs the mic and gives a quick thank you to the fans for coming out reminding them that his cousin Marko is taking on the new LW champion soon. The announcer asks if Andrei has any words for his brothers fighting in his homeland. Andrei takes the mic and takes a deep breath before bellowing 'Libertatem aut Mortem!'
