The Arrival of Tham Petchyindee

Fighter profile of Tham Petchyindee by Devon Giguere

Tham Petchyindee grew up in Ubon Ratchathani, but moving at a young age to start training in Bangkok, Thailand where he honed his skills as a Muay Thai athlete. Wanting to become a professional kickboxer, Tham decided to move to Montreal where he's been practicing all parts of his fight game. Upon arriving in Montreal, Tham met fight manager Devon Giguere who was interested in bringing Thai fighters to Canada. He immediately managed to get Tham Petchyindee a contract with Heroes of Rio Kickboxing Federation where he has an upcoming fight against Kawainui Perry, who has experience in Muay Thai as well as boxing. It'll be interesting to see how these two fighters collide. Tham is an Muay Plam who relies on his clinch game to throw elbows and knees close as well as sweeping his opponent. He has great defence and can utilize his kicks and punches from range as well when he's not initiating the clinch. It'll be exciting to see where Tham Petchyindee's career can take him, but he is hoping to earn a name for himself here in the West and earn money that I would never have back home to support his family. Tham is a humble and hard working warrior who could one day be holding gold for Heroes of Rio Kickboxing Federation or even another fight organization. Until then, he is very focused on his current fight camp against Kawainui Perry, who'll be his first test in professional kickboxing.
