Sniper has his sights set

Fighter profile of Marko Jankovic by Antonio Hernandez

Marko "The Sniper" Jankovic (18-4-0 MMA) has his sights set on his next opponent. The Odense Welterweight Champion of the world is keen on facing "Starkiller" Gregor Marek (13-1-1 MMA, 3-0 KT) in his first welterweight title defense in what pundits are claiming to be an instant classic.

Motivated by revenge, Marko Jankovic was adamant that his next opponent be the man who recently defeated him back at OFK 302. The first time these two warriors clashed, Gregor Marek had his hand raised after TKO'ing Marko Jankovic in the 3rd round of their championship fight. The victory didn't come without adversity, as Gregor Marek had to battle back in the first round after being dropped early with a lethal high kick that nearly took his head off of his neck. Gregor Marek would perservere through the knockdown and later rally back in a big way to win the championship belt, devastating Marko and his camp.

Marko Jankovic says that loss stills haunts him to this day. So close to glory and he let it slip away. He's been hellbent on revenge against "Starkiller" ever since his loss, and he attributes that desire for revenge as the thing that gives him woody in the morning to really push through the pain. Marko Jankovic has been training with some of the very best fighters at Convicted Top Team his entire career and he's showing rapid improvements in every facet of his game. He trains with top fighters like Mikey Marciano, Ernesto Mathiue, Sonny Giovanni, and Vernon Creed.

The championship DNA runs deep at Convicted Fight Club and Marko Jankovic recently added to it after he won the OFK Welterweight title that Gregor Marek lost. It was a dramatic 5 round contest and Jankovic was struggling with the wrestling of his opponent whom he eventually dispatched with an array of knees, kicks, and punches. Gregor Marek hasn't fought since losing the belt, but both camps are expected to come to a deal so we get to see these two face off again.
