Fighter profile of Michael Page by Miki Milojkovic

Interviewer: Ladies and gentlemen, today we have a promising newcomer in the world of mixed martial arts, Michael "Cobra" Page. At just 18 years old, he's yet to make his professional debut, but he's already making waves. Welcome, Michael!

Michael "Cobra" Page: Thank you for having me. I'm excited to be here.

Interviewer: Let's dive right in. At such a young age, what inspired you to step into the world of mixed martial arts, especially considering you're a seasoned amateur boxer with a 9-0 record?

Michael "Cobra" Page: Well, first off, thank you for the acknowledgment. As for MMA, it's a natural progression for me. While I've had success in amateur boxing, I felt the need to explore a broader range of skills. MMA, with its various disciplines, provides the perfect platform for me to challenge myself and showcase my abilities.

Interviewer: It's certainly an exciting time for you. Can you tell us about the aspects of MMA that attracted you, and what challenges you anticipate as you make the transition from boxing to a more comprehensive combat sport?

Michael "Cobra" Page: Absolutely. MMA is the ultimate test of a fighter's skill set. It's not just about striking; it's about being well-rounded. I've always been fascinated by the combination of striking, grappling, and submissions. The challenge for me lies in adapting my striking prowess to a format that includes so much more. I'm working hard to develop my ground game and all-around skills.

Interviewer: Given your background in elite boxing, how do you see your striking skills playing a role in your MMA career?

Michael "Cobra" Page: Boxing has been my foundation, and it's something I carry with me into the cage. My striking skills, footwork, and understanding of distance are assets that I believe will set me apart. While I'm honing other aspects of my game, I want to make sure that my opponents are well aware of the threat I pose on my feet.

Interviewer: As you gear up for your professional debut, what are your goals in the world of MMA?

Michael "Cobra" Page: Right now, my focus is on making a strong debut and establishing myself in the professional ranks. I want to take on challenges, face tough opponents, and climb the ladder. Ultimately, my goal is to become a world champion in MMA. It's a journey, and I'm eager to take the first steps.

Interviewer: We'll be watching closely as you embark on this journey. Michael, thank you for joining us today, and we wish you the best of luck in your upcoming professional debut and throughout your MMA career.

Michael "Cobra" Page: Thank you. I appreciate the support, and I'm ready to show everyone what the new dog in the yard can do.
