HEROIC

Author:

Hello everyone this is your HMMA 32 Preview, this card is the biggest HMMA has put on, every fight on this card has some sort of title implications either by it being guys fighting to get closer to a shot at the title in title eliminators or title fights.

MAIN EVENT

Carlton ”Razor” Robinson (20-6-1)  v  “The Name is…” John Saunders (10-0-2)  155 TITLE FIGHT

The main event of the evening is a rematch from one month ago, one month ago these two men entered the cage Robinson put his Lightweight title on the line against Saunders the welterweight champion seeking championships in two divisions.  The outcome was a brutal war that ended in a draw.  After the fight it was the champion who first said I want a rematch, unhappy with the draw and feeling he has what it takes to change the outcome this time around Robinson laid the challenge…. I want Saunders in a rematch he said.  Saunders was happy to accept and feels himself the outcome this time will not be the same as he feels at the end of the fight his hand will be raised and the words and new champion will be uttered.   This is going to be another close fight I expect a back and forth war against two of the very best HMMA has to offer, both fighters can hold their own wherever the fight goes last time I was proven wrong when I said something HAS to go either the unbeaten streak of Saunders or the Title of Robinson! This time around I will say……SOMETHING WILL GO, I think both fighters will be looking for a finish here and I expect one of them will get a win.

Prediction.  Very close back and forth battle  ends  by majority decision win for……the winner and STILL champion Carlton “Razor” Robinson.

CO MAIN EVENT

Norman Steel (7-1)  v  Peter "Tovarish" Comradi  (14-7) 265lbs TITLE FIGHT

The co-main event of the evening brings to us the sexiest man in alllll of the world putting his heavyweight title on the line against Peter “Tovarish” Comradi.  Comradi will be making his third appearance inside the HMMA cage after two impressive wins he is stepping up to take on the champion.   With well rounded skills Comradi has shown serious power to go along with his Muy Thai and boxing skills,  Steel looking to defend his title for the 2nd time also has shown finishing ability between the two fighters 18 of their fights have ended in (t)KO.   Will Steel be able to defend his title and emerge a run as one of the most dominant champions? Or will Comradi be able to spoil Steel’s ideas as one of the most dominant champions HMMA has seen?

Prediction:  This is a good fight both fighters are well rounded, I think this will go to a decision with Steel winning.

MAIN CARD

Lyov Kirijenko (14-11) v “Doctor” Fu Manchu   (12-3)

Riding a 4 fight win streak Fu Manchu will be the welcoming party for Lyov Kirijenko.  Manchu is one of the most popular fighters in HMMA history, and the first 205lbs champion.  Fu is a sure fire HoFer.   This fight brings an interesting dynamic, Manchu has the power to stop the fight at any moment, but kirijenko holds a wrestling and BJJ advantage that could put Fu on his back avoiding GNP and submissions. The winner of this fight could be bringing themselves closer to title contention.  Will Lyov’s chin fail the test against Fu Manchu, or will Kirijenko’s ground game be two much for Manchu to overcome?

Prediction:  I think Manchu will win by KO late in the fight.

Frank Wolfen (10-3)  v  Krwawy Lopez  (6-0)

The next fight is a welterweight fight between two of the divisions best, the fight has huge title implications all over it the winner here could very well find themselves challenging for the title soon.  Both fighters are very well rounded and could decide to take this fight anywhere, 11 out of the 16 wins combined have come by (t)KO so I expect to see some very solid exchanges and both men going at it.  With so much on the line I think we are in for an absolute war between two great fighters.

Prediction:  coin is being tossed up into the air right now true story, heads wolfen, tails lopez……….Lopez, by decision.

Martez Cortega (6-2)  v  Hunter Hearst Hogan (15-9)

This is a lightheavyweight fight between two potential contenders in the division. Hogan is entering this fight fresh off a win against a former champion, and a loss to the current champion, he is looking to get himself back into contention against another former contender for the title and another man who became a victim of the current champion, both guys want another shot and this fight moves both in that direction.  Cortega is still yet to get the sweet taste of victory inside the HMMA cage after reeling off 6 straight wins he came to HMMA and took a title shot coming up short, then he fought another contender and again came up short.    These two guys both have well rounded skills, but Hogan will most likely look to get this fight to the ground.  Even though Cortega has a solid ground game I expect he will look to use his advantage and keep the fight standing.

Prediction:  I think Hogan will end up taking this one end of the second round.

"Bazinga" Gugo Ograni  (19-8)  v  Nick Fury (10-2)

Veteran and potential contender of HMMA’s middleweight division Nick Fury welcomes Gugo Ograni to the cage.  Fury has shown solid standup skills in the past and an ability to keep the fight where he wants,  as well as a passion and desire to win. Im sure Fury will look to keep this fight standing and KO “Bazinga”.  Organi may be making his debut in HMMA but he is no stranger to the fight world, with 27 fights he brings a vast amount of experience to HMMA middleweight division.  Primarily a grappler Ograni will look to get Fury to the ground in this fight and work submission attempts.  This is a fight I cant wait for, im always excited when Fury fights this guy brings it! The question is can Ograni weather the standup and can Fury weather the ground game of Ograni?

Prediction:  I think Ograni will come out and look to get this fight to the ground he will get I there after a few attempts and work on submissions, Fury will however control him in the ground keep himself from getting submitted and then work his way to his feet where he get the KO on Ograni.

Lasi “The Draw” Kukko (23-10-2)  v  Boing “777” Sparbot   (11-6-1)              185 lbs title

The next fight on the card is a middleweight title fight between the champion Lasi Kukko, and the former champion Boing Sparbot.  Back in July these two men went to war for the middleweight title, Sparbot had been the longtime champion and Kukko a champion in his own right.  Kukko was able to pull off a very close decision win.  Now Sparbot gets the chance to get a little revenge and bring what was once his back home.   Will Kukko defend his championship against the man he took it from, or will Sparbot regain the glory that was his and once again sit atop of the middleweight division.

Prediction:  This is a really close fight I didn’t know who to pick last time and I don’t know this time either.  Im going to go with Sparbot IF he can keep it standing, and Kukko IF he gets it to the ground.

Also on the card PRELIMS.

Mike Vallely  v  James Charmicheal

Kingston Bartholemeaux  v  Dragos Ilie

Smith Hammer  v  Murilo Satinho
