TWD 35: Ronan vs Badridge Preview

Event Preview: TWD 35: Ronan vs Badridge
The Wild Den(150k+)
2012-10-14, Rio de Janeiro, Hard Knocks - Rio
Author:Papa Papito

Papito: Good day MMA fans! We welcome you to the first ever airing of TWD: Inside the Den. It is the show where you'll see your evently previews. The show will be hosted by my well-trusted fighter, Tony Kazarian, and yours truly, Papa Papito. Without further adieu, let's get this started.

MAIN CARD:

"N" Layer Prayer vs "The Emperor" Shogun Silva

Kazarian: Looks like this Prayer has the edge on this one, he's older and more trained and not to mention, he has more fights than Silva, albeit the losing record.

Papito: Yeah, but you shouldn't count Silva out, He's currently holding a record of 2-1 with a submission victory out there.

Kazarian: Prayer would be looking to take this fight down to the ground but Silva is a tricky one on the ground and Prayer should be wary on his game plan. Silva is also an aggressive stand up fighter. Will this be a successful debut for Silva? Or will it be Prayer's first win in TWD?

Papito: Tough one, I guess this one will go through distance. I'll have Silva win by decision.

Kazarian: Yup same, decision win by Silva.

"Matty Poo" Matt Hall vs Jordan "Monster" Mutch

Kazarian: Matt Hall suffered his first loss in TWD on his previous fight against, ironically, Mutch's teammate, Nathan Redmond. It was a tough fight for him as both of them are top-tier fighters in the featherweight division.

Papito: Matt Hall is a definition of a well-versed fighter and this one is a tough match up for Mutch. Mutch is pretty much like Hall, another well-versed fighter that can fight standing or on the ground. Mutch has finished all of his fights in TWD while Hall has 2 KO wins in TWD.

Kazarian: This one will be great Paps, another classic match up. I'm going with Hall on this one by KO.

Papito: Oh hell yeah this one will be classic. But I got Mutch on this one. By KO.

Matt "The Eleventh Doctor" Smith vs "Maelström" Maester Ochu

Kazarian: Matt Smith is a very very dangerous stand up fighter. He has one of the deadliest clinch game in the organization. Plus he's won both of his fights in TWD.

Papito: Yup, but his vulnerability with his ground game shows that Maester Ochu is a huge obstacle infront of him. Ochu is one of the most well-rounded fighters on the organization. A future title contender and has a bright future in the organization. His ground game is the key in this one. He can match Smith's stand up game but it would be best if he exploits Smith's weakness.

Kazarian: Yup, however, it would be a huge upset if Smith pulls off this one. He's the underdog in the fight.

Papito: I agree. But I'm still going with Ochu in this one by KO/TKO.

Kazarian: Same. Ochu by KO.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Edinaldo "Lula" Oliveira vs Zack Dio

Papito: Talk about a big rematch from their previous championship fight. They'll fight to determine who will be the number one contender for the TWD Heavyweight Championship. Dio knocked Oliveira out cold during the first one to win his first championship in the organization. But man, Oliveira is one of the most dominating champions in TWD history. He won 5-0 of his fights including winning the heavyweight championship and all by knock out.

Kazarian: I agree on that one. But Dio is also a great fighter only losing against the current champion Antonio Carlos Ferreira. It was a great fight.

Papito: Yup! And by the way, both of these guys are heavy handed. They all won of their fights by KO/TKO. So Expect another KO in this one. We know Zio has the edge in this one but never count out a revenge-hungry Oliveira. But i'm still going with Zio in this one by KO.

Kazarian: It's a tough one to decide who'll win this one. We'll never know when the knock out punch will strike. I guess I'll just go with the one who has the edge on their previous meeting. Zio by KO.

MAIN EVENT:

Elvis "The King" Ronan vs "Thrilling" Barry Badridge

Papito: Ronan has been a name synonymous to dominance in TWD and in Rio de Janeiro. He's four months away from holding the championship for a year. He's a cornerstone in TWD and the middleweight division more exciting with him in it.

Kazarian: TWDs middleweight division has always been exciting! He is fighting against Barry Badridge. Badridge rose quickly up the ranks in TWD. He beat 2 tough TWD veterans in Julio Gutierrez and Kartik Yay. He's a threat to Ronan.

Papito: Yeah, this one will be all over the place. But expect Ronan to look for an early knock out but with Badridge's chin, it will be a tough time for Ronan.

Kazarian: Badridge should be wary of his game plan. Ronan is a little better in every aspect. But don't count him out. He can knock you out or make you tap. But I'll go with the obvious choice in this one. Ronan by KO.

Papito: I'll go with Ronan as well by KO.

Papito: I guess that's it folks. It's the end of our program for tonight! Don't forget to mark your calendars for the event! October 14, 2012 in the Hard Knocks Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Kazarian: Thank you folks for tuning to our show. It's your hosts, Tony Kazarian and Papa Papito, saying good day and have a nice day everyone!
