HWP308: Copout v Baramari! PREVIEW and HeavyWeight Betting tips

I'm back bitches! Don't pretend you didn't miss me, the wet spot on the front of your trousers gives it away. Luckily I am just in time for HWP308 which showcases all the fun and fanfare of Copout and Baramari. Good times right? All your favourite HWP regulars are on the list too, which you had probably guess by now, and as per usual we are hitting Vegas' MMA Grand where 17000 future warehouse forklift operators will attend using money they will later wish they had to spend on laser tattoo removal.

"The Lumberjack" Zapp Brannigan vs. Dante Fertit

Guess who else is back? It's Brannigan and he is gagging for a win. The vast majority of his recent career has been pretty bloody dismal and he is hoping that tonight against Fertit his luck will change! Fertit for his part hasn't been astounding of late either and unless he manages to get this fight down to the floor I don't expect to see anything improving tonight. I wonder if Fertit's extra 20lbs or so of weight will help him wrassle on down? No idea but I do know that with 26 of 32 wins coming via KO I am expecting "The Lumberjack" to claim another W via KO and possibly postpone his retirement for another week.

"Warpath" James Proudstar vs. Zirry "The Sweep" Swan

Whilst we're on the topic of dudes who have been pretty crap in the cage recently, meet "Warpath" Proudstar and "The Sweep" Swan. Both of these men have been around the block more times than your mum when she was in her late teens and just like her they are remembered for how great they used to look, not how they look now. Warpath is outclassed by Swan from a standing perspective but if he manages to get the fight to the floor he is going to tear Swan's arm clear out of its socket as the different in grappling is vast. Proudstar is plenty heavier but Swan is far shorter which may make the takedowns difficult and a big counter strike from "The Sweep" is definitely a high possibility so I am tipping him to win this one via decision as he just doesn't seem heavy handed enough of late.

"The Rubber Man" Hezekiah Munson vs. "growth hormone" Alistair Overdose

Co-Main Event!

It wouldn't be a HWP event if Overdose wasn't partaking in it, although Munson has been a pretty solid fixture of the organisation for some time now as well. "The Rubber Man" is going hard on a 3 fight win streak which sees him improving more and more each fight so he will hope to bring this form into tonight's bout against an Overdose who, apart from two losses to Cain Marko, has been looking rock solid. This is going to be an all standing affair and the two men are excellently matched in this department although "Growth Hormone" stands a stonking 23cm taller than Munson and has a giant 55lbs extra weight. This kind of freight train physique is what sets the two men apart for me though both men have been quite tactical of late so I am expecting an Overdose win via decision.

"Dreamboy" Bob Baramari vs. "nutshot i quit" Cro Copout

Main Event!

The perennial quitter "Nutshot" Copout heads this week's main event as he takes on "Dreamboy" Baramari in what should be the 2nd of two excellent slugfests in a row. Baramari is a big boy with great skills but Copout is a world class boxer and that extra 9cm of height means he is deadly accurate with the stiff jab. Ask your girlfriend. Both men have some solid KOs behind them coming into this bout and will be feeling pretty confident so it is difficult to pick between the two although when they met back in HWP250 it was Copout who took the honours with a decision win thanks to his punches and takedowns. This time around I expect Baramari to turn it up a little more and not spend quite so long hacking at the legs so pencil me in for a "Dreamboy" decision victory!
