MAIN CARD

Bantamweight Title Fight

Arthur Pirozhkov (8-0, 6-0 NGF) vs Lutz Knitter (10-3, 1-1 NGF)

Let’s start with the best fight on the card. 6-0 “Playboy” Pirozhkov will take his devastating BJJ into the octagon and try for his 3rd title defense. Lutz Knitter will try and stay on his feet and use the big left hand that has given him 8 TKO’s out of his 10 wins. If this one gets to the mat it’s all over. PREDICTION: Pirozhkov, 2nd round submission.

Light Heavyweight Title Fight

Jack Poldi (8-3, 3-0 NGF) vs Dmitry Boitsoff (8-3, 1-1 NGF)

Jack “Shark” Poldi put his belt on the line vs former ACF champion, “Boets” Boitsoff. Poldi, a former heavyweight, prefers light heavyweight where he can use his strength advantage. Dmitry loves to submit his opponents, always looking for a Kimura or Armbar, he will try to get this fight to the ground. Jack has won a FOTN award in 6 of his past 8 fights, so we should have something good happen. PREDICTION: Poldi decision win.

Light Heavyweight Fight

Martyn Musgrave (16-8, 2-2 NGF) vs Zergatron Megalopolis (6-0, 3-0 NGF)

“Hydra” Musgrave somehow finds himself on a main card fight. Musgrave has lost 2 straight and doesn’t look like his skills have improved at all since his super heavyweight days. Musgrave has showed some upside in the NGF with 2 FOTN awards. “Mig” Megalopolis will try and go to 4-0 in the NGF. He has won all his fights by T(KO). Sad news for Megalopolis as he recently has had a family loss, this might lower his morale. PREDICTION: Musgrave decision win.

Heavyweight Fight

Ruslan Kalinin (8-5, 2-0 NGF) vs Polish Engineer (5-3, NGF DEBUT)

Ruslan Kalinin will take his ground skills and try and tap out Polish Engineer to improve to 3-0 in the NGF. Engineer was signed from the Animal Day Combat Championship. Engineer has very good stand up; he has 1 punch KO power and quick on his feet. Engineer is 4-1 in his last 5, while Kalinin holds the same record in his past 5. There are questions about Kalinin chin as all 5 of his loses have come by KO. PREDICTION: Engineer 2nd round KO.

Bantamweight Fight

Jon Erik Andersen (8-6, 2-2 NGF) vs Harald Andersson (3-0, 2-0 NGF)

Anderson is coming in after a submission win at NGF 21 season kick off. Anderson is solid in all areas, but not great in any one of them. He will adapt his game plan based on his opponent. Andersson, just 21 years old has power in his hands and kicks, he has very good clinch skills and has top notch wrestling skills. Harald Andersson looks like he’s on the verge of a break out and has the skills to make a title run. PREDICTION: Andersson 1st round TKO.

PRELIMS

Light Heavyweight Fight

Mike Tompson (6-3, 2-1 NGF) vs Rogerio Mustacho (4-1, 3-1 NGF)

Mike “Hitman” Tompson will try to shake his last fight where he TKO’ed at NGF 20 by Zergatron Megalopolis. Tompson will is deadly in the clinch and has a sniper like kick. He can end a fight in a flash with a head kick. “El Mariachi” is coming off his 1st career loss at NGF 20, when he couldn’t take the title from Jack Poldi. Mustacho can submit anyone, while trading stand up strikes. He has a well rounded game and can battle anywhere the fight goes. This could be a fight of the night. PREDICTION: Mustacho 3rd round submission.

Bantamweight Fight

Stanislav Popovich (4-1, NGF DEBUT) vs Michael Sandler (2-1, NGF DEBUT)

Two fighters making there NGF debut, both with very good boxing skills and little else. “Neanderthal” Popovich has a lot of power, but can get worn out as the fight goes. “Super” Sandler has seen the 3rd round in all 3 of his career fights. 20 years old, Sandler has a lot to learn yet. He is skillful at boxing, but his game lacks in most other areas of MMA. PREDICTION: Sandler decision win.

Bantamweight Fight

Joey Silerto (2-1 NGF) vs Thomas Dos Santos (2-4 NGF)

This is one weird fight. Joey “Junkyard” Silerto is just 19 years old and possess very little in way of MMA skill at this point in his career. Silerto has recently dropped out of his gym and doesn’t seem to have a manager. Thomas “Two Saints” broke a 4 fight winless streak with a 23 second KO of Andrei Fedor at NGF Fight Night 5. Dos Santos really hit the gym and hopes he can get his career turned in the right direction. This one looks like a cake walk. PREDICTION: Dos Santos 1st round TKO.

Super Heavyweight Fight

Anton Ton (4-4, 0-2 NGF) vs Andre Rene Roussimoff (1-0 NGF)

Anton “Killer” Ton should change his nick name to “Glass Chin”. Ton has lost his last 4 fights, none of them have made it past 1 minute of the 1st round, and the last 3 have all been KO’s. “The Giant” Roussimoff is coming off an impressive 1st round TKO of David Miller. Roussimoff looks like a well-rounded fighter, with KO power. “The Giant” looks pretty quick on his feet for a 7’3” 300 lbs fighter. A hulk of a man, Roussimoff should be able to dominate this fight. PREDICTION: Roussimoff 1st round KO.
