The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maanpohja defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tigh. Maanpohja lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Saul Tigh has been cut. Maanpohja throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tigh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Maanpohja is trying to stand.
Maanpohja has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Tigh has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Maanpohja defend it? Tigh steps over the head and cranks it - Maanpohja is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tigh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams thows a body shot but no joy. Dilli is looking to clinch. Williams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dilli holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Williams is trying to break free. Williams goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dilli has Williams pressed against the cage, preventing Williams from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Williams wants to get back to striking at distance but Dilli won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Hendriks throws a sloppy head kick and Baird moves out of range easily. Von Hendriks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Baird throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Von Hendriks feints and then cracks Baird's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Baird down. Baird misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Von Hendriks throws a half hearted mid kick. Baird scores with a punch to the head. Von Hendriks throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Baird. Von Hendriks looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Baird drives through with a takedown into Von Hendriks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Von Hendriks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Baird with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baird stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Von Hendriks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nasir stands up over Anastasio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Rasputin slams his shin into Brett's torso. We've been told by Rasputin's head coaches at Ludus Magnus that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Brett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Rasputin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brett. We've been informed that Brett has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Rasputin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brett.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Keith manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ruden manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ruden throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Keith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ruden throws a hook but Keith avoids it easily. Ruden lands a jab to Keith's midsection. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Keith misses the jab. Keith missing with a left hand there. Ruden was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
