The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boschat tries a low kick but Gun avoids it. A shot to the body from Boschat misses and Gun counters with an outside leg kick.
Boschat throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A big right from Boschat misses. Thor Boschat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boschat misses with a hook
and Gun counters by clinching up. Gun has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boschat avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Boschat is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Boschat is trying to break the clinch but Gun has him pressed against the cage. Gun has Boschat pressed against the cage, preventing Boschat from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Gun keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Boschat's efforts to push away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gun takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A lazy left from Boschat finds it's target. Gun blocks a jab. The fighters circling - Boschat throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Boschat lunges at Gun with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gun's hand. Boschat tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gun is able to avoid easily. Boschat throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gun on the side of the head.

A big right from Boschat misses. Boschat throws a jab but it's blocked by Gun. Boschat throws a leg kick and Gun counters with a thumping low kick. Boschat throws a hook but Gun blocks it. Gun staying out of range there. Boschat feints a jab promting Gun to slip. Boschat then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gun slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Boschat throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Boschat lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Boschat dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gun. That did some damage! Gun blocks a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boschat scores with a nice right hand.

Gun needs to keep his hands up - Boschat had a free shot at his head there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boschat misses with a right hand and Gun holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Boschat is looking to break free of the clinch but Gun has double underhooks. Boschat can't break the clinch.

Boschat wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gun has him pressed against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gun keeps control of Boschat as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
And that's the end of the fight! Thor Boschat showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boschat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Segal. Gregoravich's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gregoravich's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Gregoravich connects with a body shot that sends Segal's belly button to the back. Gregoravich moves away from the strike by Segal. Segal lands with a good body shot. Segal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Segal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Graco Gregoravich has been cut. Jonathan Segal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gregoravich tries to clinch up but Segal circles away and keeps his distance. Segal throws a hook to the side of Gregoravich's head but Gregoravich sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Segal throws a looping overhand right but Gregoravich ducks down to avoid it. Segal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gregoravich sees it coming and avoids it easily. Segal throws a big shot that misses. Segal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A looping hook to the body misses from Segal. Gregoravich does a little dance to reset his feet. Segal misses with a wild combination.

This one might not go much longer! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gregoravich fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Segal manages to avoid it. Segal sends Gregoravich crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Segal is motioning to the referee to let Gregoravich up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Segal cracks Gregoravich with a left hook right on the temple and Gregoravich goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Segal lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Gregoravich is OK!

A very excited looking Jonathan Segal made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. Cereal throws a low kick but Omega avoids it. Cereal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Omega digs a good hook to Cereal's body.
Cereal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Omega paws at him with a jab and circles away. Omega has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Omega checks the leg kick nicely there.

Charles Cereal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Omega. Omega has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cereal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Omega is trying to push Cereal away but Cereal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Cereal lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Cereal lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Omega backwards. Omega turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cereal gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Omega prevents Cereal from improving his position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Omega lands a nice short elbow. Omega thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Omega passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cereal!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cereal keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cereal is squirming around, avoiding Omega's attempts to control the action. Omega landing strikes from the mount and Cereal is in trouble! Omega scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Cereal regains half guard. Cereal tries to roll over but Omega keeps him under control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Omega is looking to take a break and control but Cereal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cereal is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Cereal will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Omega drives through with a takedown into Cereal's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Omega preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Omega working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cereal's head. Omega is pushing down on Cereal's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cereal is fighting to maintain full guard but Omega has managed to sneak the leg through. Omega is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cereal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cereal tries to get out of the position. Cereal manages to get to full guard.
Cereal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Omega lands a couple of digs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Omega works over Cereal with some ground and pound from guard. Omega wants to control from the top but Cereal keeps moving.

12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dixie Normous! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid throws a good cross that connects.
Karate Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Normous on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Normous throws a low kick but Kid avoids it. Kid lands with a nice body punch. Kid with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kid lands a jab to Normous's midsection. Kid connects with a body shot that sends Normous's belly button to the back. Kid connects with a looping right hand.
Kid lands with a nice body punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kid lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kid - that will leave a mark!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Normous has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Normous takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jab from Kid. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kid chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Normous shoots in and drives through. Kid sprawls well. Kid lands with an uppercut that bounces Normous off the cage and back into range. Kid scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Normous doesn't seem bothered though. Normous chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kid can pounce on him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kid bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Normous's head backwards. Normous closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Normous tries for a takedown but Kid sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kid connects with a nice looking jab.

A nice leg kick lands there from Kid. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kid here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Normous stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kid. A nice inside leg kick there by Kid. That's going to slow Normous down. Good shot there by Kid. Kid lands a nice shot to the body.
Karate Kid is winning the standup battle so far. Normous walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kid cracks Normous with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Kid cracks the inside of Normous's front leg. Kid stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Normous throws a leg kick but Kid moved away. Kid throws out a powerful jab. A decent looking cross lands there for Kid. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kid closes the distance and clinches.

Normous is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kid is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Normous. A right hand to the body from Kid.

Kid throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Kid feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Normous's calf. Normous takes one to the side of the head.

Normous closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Normous is thwarting Kid's attempts to control the position. Normous is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kid is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Normous is trying to control the action in half guard but Kid is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Normous is stalling here. Kid is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Normous seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kid has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Normous looking for a sweep but Kid has passed into full mount! Oh no! This has been an exciting period of action! Kid controlling the position easily from mount. Kid can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Normous is looking to escape.

Normous sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Normous slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kid passes easily into side control. Nice work. Normous wants to control but Kid postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kid is looking to take a break and control but Normous is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kid staying calm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
