The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yagami throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Salnik drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Salnik is working Yagami over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Salnik postures up and lands a big shot to Yagami's brow.

Yagami is looking for a triangle but Salnik pushes his legs off easily.

Yagami looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Yagami looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Salnik has picked Yagami up and slammed him! Yagami can't keep hold of the triangle and Salnik manages to pass to side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vines shoots in looking for a takedown. Fonta tries to sprawl out of it but Vines keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fonta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Powders dives in for a single leg takedown but Baskerville sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Powders goes for a takedown attempt but Baskerville pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Costa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Costa loads up on a big right hand but Abaddon slips the punch.
Costa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Abaddon.
Abaddon throws a body punch but Costa moves out of range.
Costa cracks the inside of Abaddon's front leg.
Donk. Costa catches Abaddon right on the button with a cross.
Costa fakes the leg kick and cracks Abaddon in the body.
Abaddon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Abaddon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Abaddon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
