The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kokainowicz throws a nice looking combination but Mingo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mingo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kokainowicz sprawls well. Kokainowicz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mingo gets slowly back to his feet. Kokainowicz avoids the head kick by Mingo.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boughner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Farniev pinned against the cage. Farniev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Boughner lands a nice shot to the body.
Boughner stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Boughner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Farniev defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Farniev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boughner pinned against the cage. Boughner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Farniev pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Boughner throws a lazy right hand but Farniev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Boughner lands a nice shot to the body.

We're now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farniev lands strikes from half guard. Farniev passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Boughner! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A close round but Batraz Farniev will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Boughner leaves Farniev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boughner is looking to take this one to the mat. Boughner has Farniev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Farniev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Farniev with a nice head shot there. Boughner wants to sweep but no luck. Farniev lands a couple of digs.

Boughner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Farniev is working Boughner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Farniev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Farniev preventing the sweep. Farniev lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Boughner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Farniev scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Boughner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Farniev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Farniev is trying to control the action in half guard but Boughner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farniev chips away with some ground and pound. Oh Boughner is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Farniev loads up on a big left hand. Boughner felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Farniev looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Boughner can't hide his disappointment, as Farniev celebrates the victory.

Bydlak tries to buck Wera off but Wera is having none of it. Wera connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bydlak some visible discomfort.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wera tries to advance to mount but can't. Bydlak wants to control but Wera postures up. Budzynski on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Budzynski misses with a wild body shot. Karakutascipa lands a nice hook to Budzynski's body. Budzynski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Budzynski misses with a hook. Karakutascipa with a nice cross. A shot to the liver by Karakutascipa. Beautiful body shot. Good shot there by Karakutascipa. Horrible takedown attempt by Budzynski or perhaps it was just good defense by Karakutascipa, which made it look bad. Karakutascipa is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Budzynski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Budzynski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Budzynski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Karakutascipa. Budzynski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
