The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush shoots in but no luck this time.
Warycki lands a glancing blow to the side of Rush's head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rush has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Warycki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rush tries to avoid it but Warycki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rush to the ground. Rush escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Warycki counters with a straight right hand.
Rush shoots for a double leg takedown but Warycki sprawls well. He's pushed Rush's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

As Silva backs off Maure throws a huge counter combo but Silva manages to avoid it all.

Silva jabs Maure to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maure moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Maure on the side of the head.
Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Silva gets in close and tags Maure with a short punch that almost sends Maure to the mat! Oh Maure is in big trouble! He turns his back on Silva, trying to create some distance but Silva rushes him, striking wildly and Maure goes down! The referee tackles Silva into the cage to end the fight! Silva is one violent man!

Dante Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
