And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Knight!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Ryu Weiter has been cut.
Weiter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Weiter clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the ropes.

Knight breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Weiter has managed to clinch.

Weiter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Weiter shoots in but no luck this time.

Weiter drops down looking for a counter takedown but Knight sprawls and moves away.

Knight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weiter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knight somewhat.

It looked like Weiter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryu Weiter.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Weiter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Steel feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Steel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like David Silva has been cut.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steel's waist but Steel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Steel finish him?
Silva tries to clinch up
and Steel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva looks winded!
Steel connects with a right that clearly hurt Silva. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Steel proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Silva collapses and taps out under the pressure!
