2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Babadou Barry! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joker missing with a left hand there. Barry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Joker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Joker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Joker scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Barry to see if he's OK. Joker landing strikes. Joker lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Barry! Joker senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Barry out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mr Joker! A relieved looking Mr Joker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepherd has chosen Radioactive by Imagine Dragons Ft. Kendrick Lamar as his entrance music. Derek Patterson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shepherd looks for a takedown but Patterson sprawls well. Shepherd gets caught napping as Patterson dives in and scores a takedown. Shepherd manages to retain guard. Patterson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Shepherd taking some punishment here, with Patterson in his half guard. Shepherd has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Patterson is landing a low percentage of strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shepherd moves into range and clinches up with Patterson. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shepherd . Shepherd wants to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Derek Patterson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Patterson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice combo by Yuha! Oh, that's hurt him - Glover falls to the canvas and Yuha follows him into side control.
Glover is rocked! Glover gets back to half guard. Oh Glover is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Glover is looking to escape. Glover seems to have got his legs back now. Yuha stands up and beckons Glover to join him on the feet. Yuha thuds a left hand into Glover's body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A slow jab from Glover misses its intended target. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Glover.

Stolt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tavi throws a hook but Stolt avoids it easily. An attempted straight right counter from Stolt misses the target. Stolt cracks Tavi with a good jab. Stolt throws a front kick that sends Tavi stumbling back into the cage. Stolt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tavi. Tavi attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A bone on bone clash there as Stolt blocks the leg kick.

and Stolt counters with a nice leg kick. Stolt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stolt is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Tavi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stolt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tavi. Tavi moves forwards but Stolt connects with a nice, crisp jab. Tavi swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Stolt to counter with a crisp jab. Stolt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tavi keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

and Monster Truck decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Honeybottom's guard. Honeybottom on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Honeybottom tries to get out of the position. Honeybottom wants to stand up but Monster Truck is controlling him. Honeybottom trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Honeybottom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Honeybottom with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Honeybottom's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Honeybottom is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Monster Truck is just riding it out for now. Honeybottom eventually gives up the hold.

Monster Truck working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Honeybottom. Honeybottom trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Honeybottom looking to sit in guard and control but Monster Truck gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Honeybottom wants to sweep but no luck. Honeybottom looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Monster Truck puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Honeybottom is looking to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkinson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kettu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
