Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Waqa Waqa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Floue! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Floue looks for a takedown but Waqa sprawls well. Waqa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Waqa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Floue's elbow. Floue lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Floue throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Floue wants to take a breather but Waqa is having none of it. Floue tries to pass the half guard into mount. Waqa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Floue trying to control the action but Waqa is working from the bottom. Waqa wants to control the action here but instead Floue manages to pass to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Waqa tries to reverse the position but Floue maintains control. Floue gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Waqa throws a body shot but no joy. Waqa throws a jab but it's blocked by Floue. Floue only half commits to the counter leg kick. Floue pushes Waqa up against the cage in a clinch. Floue blocking some punches.
Waqa wants to take the fight to the mat but Floue manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Waqa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Floue's efforts to push away. Waqa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Floue being controlled against the cage. Come on Waqa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floue works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Floue trying to control but Waqa is working from the bottom. Floue preventing the sweep. Floue pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Waqa is keeping the position for now. Floue trying to move into half guard but instead Waqa has managed to sweep! Floue trying to control the position.
Waqa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Floue swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Floue is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Waqa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Floue scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Waqa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Floue manages to avoid it. Waqa swings for the body but Floue moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Floue slips under a jab. Waqa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Floue to the ground. Waqa is now in Floue's guard. Floue manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Floue tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Waqa smiles and moves away.
Waqa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Floue was well out of range. Poor timing from Waqa. Waqa goes for a double leg but Floue avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Floue continues to drive forward. The fight stays on the outside here - Floue looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Floue ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Floue throws a body punch but Waqa moves out of range. Waqa looks to score with a jab to the body but Floue is just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Floue lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waqa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Floue's guard. Floue keeping moving, preventing Waqa from controlling successfully. Waqa pushing down on Floue's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Waqa slows the pace down in half guard. Waqa trying to pass the guard but Floue defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floue has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Waqa is working away from the top position though. Waqa controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Floue works his way to full guard. Good work. Floue looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Floue is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Floue wants to get back to his feet but Waqa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Floue not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Waqa is looking to wear down Floue with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Waqa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Floue closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Waqa did well to prevent Floue getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Floue with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Waqa is not content to let Floue control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Waqa wants to improve his position but Floue is controlling well.

Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Floue on a fantastic submission victory.

And that's the end of the fight! Crystal Henry showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Henry , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
