Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pawel Ciesielski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturus Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pawel Ciesielski had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Arturus Pendragon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arturus Pendragon! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Pendragon. No joy for Ciesielski on that attempt. Pendragon darts in and clinches Ciesielski up against the cage. Pendragon lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ciesielski backwards.
It looks like Pawel Ciesielski has been cut. Pendragon lands a shoulder strike. Ciesielski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pendragon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ciesielski seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Pendragon fails to land with a series of punches.
Pendragon darts in and clinches Ciesielski up against the cage. Pendragon lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Pendragon lands with a short shot to the head. Ciesielski is trying to drag Pendragon to the mat but Pendragon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pawel Ciesielski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ciesielski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pendragon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pendragon lands with a big left! Ciesielski is wobbled badly! Pendragon comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ciesielski to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

A very excited looking Arturus Pendragon made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

He only made it down to 206.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alen Zalac! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zalac gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Banget to score an easy takedown into full guard. Zalac looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Banget trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Banget thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Banget drops back looking for a leg! Zalac is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zalac manages to kick Banget off! Banget jumps back into Zalac's guard. Zalac can't keep his opponent in guard - Banget advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banget is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Banget passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zalac! Zalac really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banget. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banget is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zalac can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Banget is landing with some decent strikes but Zalac is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Zalac is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Banget working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Zalac turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Banget off and cradles Zalac's limp body as Banget celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Dewo Banget! Dewo Banget decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Embamba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wappner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Embamba swivels and escapes. Embamba throws a quick inside leg kick. Wappner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wappner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Embamba defends well and Wappner ends up having to push Embamba into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Embamba steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Wappner. Wappner clinches. Embamba tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wappner drops down looking for an ankle pick but Embamba pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archie Wappner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wappner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Embamba. Embamba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wappner's waist but Wappner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Embamba off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Embamba darts in looking for a takedown but Wappner gets double underhooks and turns Embamba into the cage. Wappner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Embamba did well to prevent Wappner getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Embamba is trying to stand up here but Wappner is controlling him well. Wappner tries to stand and escape but Embamba is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wappner wants to pass to mount but Embamba is defending the position. Embamba looking for submissions off his back. Embamba looks winded! Wappner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wappner seems to be working for a kimura but Embamba defends the submission attempt. Wappner tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Embamba.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Embamba moves into full guard.

Wappner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wappner is looking to work some ground and pound but Embamba has wrist control. Embamba is trying to control the position but Wappner postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wappner misses the shot to the body. Wappner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Embamba tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Wappner seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Embamba tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wappner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Embamba keeps working. Wappner tries to stand but Embamba is controlling his head. Embamba takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
You can see the frustration on Embamba's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wappner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Embamba is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wappner stands up and beckons Embamba to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Embamba is looking to clinch but Wappner is avoiding it.
Embamba tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wappner swivels and escapes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Archie Wappner dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wappner moves into the clinch. Wappner manages to break the clinch.
Embamba shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wappner is trying to defend but Embamba finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wappner manages to escape and get back to his feet! Embamba gets in close and instigates a clinch. Embamba wants to take the fight to the mat but Wappner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wappner tries for a takedown. No joy.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wappner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James Embamba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Embamba is breathing heavily. Embamba darts in looking for a takedown but Wappner gets double underhooks and turns Embamba into the cage. Archie Wappner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Embamba.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wappner shoots in for a double leg but Embamba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wappner with a poor takedown and Embamba counters by clinching up. Wappner is trying to break the clinch but Embamba has him pressed against the cage. Embamba is trying to stall.
Wappner dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Embamba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wappner is defended easily by Embamba. Wappner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Embamba can do to turn this around? Wappner circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Embamba closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wappner did well to prevent Embamba getting side control. Embamba trying to pass the guard but Wappner defending well. Embamba is thwarting Wappner's attempts to control the position. Embamba with the ground and pound but Wappner uses the opportunity to regain guard. Wappner is controlling Embamba's posture. Wappner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Embamba on the ground. Wappner is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wappner pulls Embamba into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Archie Wappner will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of him. Embamba fails to land the takedown.

Frazier throws out a powerful jab. Zeph Frazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Frazier is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Danga de danga de dang - Frazier scores with a four punch combination! Frazier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Frazier cracks Masters on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Masters falls backwards against the cage. Frazier follows up with more strikes that drop Masters to his knees. Frazier keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Masters! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson cracks Chocolate with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Karlsson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Chocolate to stand back up!
It looks like Chip Chocolate has been cut. A big left from Chocolate misses. Chocolate fails to land the takedown. Chocolate blocks a jab. A jab from Chocolate finds it's way through Karlsson's defenses.
It looks like Kalle Karlsson has been cut. Chocolate uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Karlsson. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chocolate swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chocolate with a lazy takedown attempt and Karlsson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chocolate! Karlsson lets Chocolate back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Chip Chocolate's cut is getting worse. Chocolate tries to get into range but Karlsson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Chocolate! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Karlsson scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kalle Karlsson! Kalle Karlsson is the new super heavyweight champion! Kalle Karlsson took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Sin City Allstars for their support in the buildup to the fight. Chip Chocolate was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm gonna take this loss with a grain of salt, or a grain of sugar, and put it in a cookie, and eat it.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! PO scores with a push kick. PO misses with a head kick.
Laureana shoots in but no luck this time. PO rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Laureana counters with a stiff right hand. Laureana throws a hook to the side of PO's head but PO sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. PO now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Laureana tries for a takedown but PO circles away easily and PO cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. PO tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Laureana throws out a powerful jab. Laureana closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Laureana swings around for an armbar but PO sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Laureana's guard. Laureana escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. PO gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. PO slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laureana is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Laureana seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. PO sitting in guard, not really doing much. Laureana manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. PO manages to get himself to full guard.

Laureana wants to control from the top but PO keeps moving. PO keeping full guard, as Laureana tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Laureana trying to control the position from guard on top but PO is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. PO is trying to control the position but Laureana postures up. Laureana drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but PO manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Laureana has PO in his guard. Laureana is adopting a defensive guard. Laureana is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. PO controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Laureana not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Laureana managing to control the position. PO avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Strangler comes into the arena with Let Me Through by The Dead Weather blaring out of the sound system. 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrence Funk! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strangler connects with a solid leg kick. Funk closes the distance but Strangler moves to the side and Strangler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Funk has taken the fight to the clinch.

Strangler works on Funk's body with a couple of short punches. Funk looking for a takedown. Funk is looking to take this one to the mat. Funk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Strangler gets the underhooks and prevents it.
St Petersburg Strangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrence Funk. Strangler lands an uppercut. Funk has a couple of punches blocked by Strangler.
Funk scores with a nice hook to the head. Funk turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! An elbow from Funk crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funk throwing shots but missing, from side control. Funk sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Strangler is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Funk throws a strike aimed at the side of Strangler's head but Strangler avoids it well. Strangler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Funk. Funk tries to score with some ground and pound. Strangler controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Funk working the ground and pound from side control. Strangler dodges the ground and pound from Funk. Funk throwing shots but missing, from side control. Funk throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sloppy strikes there by Funk. Strangler wants to get back to his feet but Funk drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Funk landing a few strikes. Funk trying to control the action but Strangler is working from the bottom. Strangler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Funk. Funk in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Funk lands a few punches from side control. Funk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Funk misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Funk slows the pace down. Funk trying to control the action but Strangler is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strangler takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Funk creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Strangler sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Funk with the ground and pound but Strangler regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Strangler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Funk not landing any meaningful shots this time. Funk throwing shots but Strangler is blocking nicely. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Funk is keen to just control but Strangler is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Funk missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Funk is trying to control the action in half guard but Strangler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Funk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Funk wants to take a breather but Strangler is having none of it. Funk has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Strangler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Funk wants to pass the guard but Strangler is defending well. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Funk takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Funk lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Strangler is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Funk scores with a couple of nice shots.
Strangler is rocked! Funk working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Oh Strangler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ground and pound from Funk. Funk moves into full mount! Strangler won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terrence Funk dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Funk shoots in and drives through. Strangler sprawls well. It looked like Strangler wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Funk darts in looking for a takedown but Strangler gets double underhooks and turns Funk into the cage. Funk has Strangler up against the cage in a clinch.

Strangler tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Funk taking a breather. A head punch on the inside from Strangler fails to land. Strangler seems to have got his legs back now. Funk blocking some punches.
Funk has picked Strangler up - he's going for a ride! Funk dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Funk wants to free his trapped foot but Strangler is holding on for dear life with his legs. Funk thows a huge punch but Strangler dodges it nicely.

Funk not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Funk controlling the pace. Funk works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strangler is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
