Justin Andrews had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Justin Andrews could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Uriah Small's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samwell Tarly!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo moves away from the strike by Tarly.
Bravo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bravo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bravo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tarly.
Tarly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tarly looks to throw the jab but Bravo is out of range.
Bravo tries to counter with a takedown but Tarly is quick to defend against it.
Bravo shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tarly takes a swing at Bravo's ribcage but misses.
Tarly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bravo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tarly looks to land a right hand but Bravo moved out of range.
Bravo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bravo fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drako Bravo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tarly swings for the body but Bravo moves out of range.
Tarly misses with a looping right.
Tarly scores with a decent looking hook.
Bravo shoots for a double leg takedown but Tarly sprawls well. He's pushed Bravo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tarly throws a body shot but no joy.
Bravo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tarly as he avoids it easily.
Tarly misses with a body shot.
Tarly jabs Bravo to the body, keeping him at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tarly displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bravo.
Bravo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tarly but Tarly pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bravo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tarly throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Bravo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tarly can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bravo lands with a punch from half guard.
Tarly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bravo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tarly pushes Bravo off looking to stand but Bravo dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo content to control rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bravo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tarly is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Bravo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bravo with shots to the head and body - Tarly looks very uncomfortable down there.
Bravo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Tarly is looking to improve his position but Bravo isn't that keen on the idea.
BOOM! Bravo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bravo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bravo is landing with some decent strikes but Tarly is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Tarly is rocked!
Bravo postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Tarly in real trouble here! The ref calls for Tarly to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drako Bravo!
Drako Bravo retains his lightweight title!
