0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Xande Moreno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Serafim Lupei! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Jab from Lupei. Lupei clobbers Moreno with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Lupei works Moreno's body with a nice hook. The crowd cheers as Moreno lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lupei doesn't seem phased though. Lupei misses with a hook. Good exchange - Lupei coming out on top. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lupei manages to avoid it. It seemed like Lupei was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Nice uppercut there from Lupei.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lupei throws a body punch but Moreno moves out of range. A jab lands there for Lupei. Moreno throws the left hand but Lupei avoids the punch easily. Lupei scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A big right from Moreno misses. Jab from Lupei.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lupei lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Moreno misses with a right hand and Lupei counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Moreno takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lupei slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Lupei misses with a wild body shot. Moreno swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Serafim Lupei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lupei has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Papa! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Papa with a poor takedown and Jackson counters with a right hand to the body. Papa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut. Jackson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Papa on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jackson cracks Papa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Papa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jackson finish him?
Papa is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jackson has cracked Papa with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jackson lands another huge swinging hook and Papa tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Papa, before Jackson can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Luke Jackson! A very excited looking Luke Jackson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pi Fian closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kiyasu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pi Fian's elbow. Kiyasu misses with some punches.
Pi Fian lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kiyasu backwards. Kiyasu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kiyasu will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pi Fian slips nicely into half guard. Pi Fian is trying to control the action in half guard but Kiyasu is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kiyasu wants to improve his position but Pi Fian is controlling well.
Pi Fian definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kiyasu looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pi Fian controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pi Fian is keen to just control but Kiyasu is a slippery customer. Pi Fian maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kiyasu could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pi Fian has cracked it and Kiyasu is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pi Fian!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vermeer works the jab nicely. Vermeer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vermeer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Russell moves away. Russell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vermeer circles away quickly and effectively. Jochem Vermeer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vermeer connects with a body shot. Vermeer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Vermeer scores with the left hand. Russell knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like George Conor Russell has been cut. Russell takes one to the side of the head.
Vermeer with a body punch. A glancing blow. Russell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vermeer connects with a single shot there. Russell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vermeer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Russell scrambles back to his feet.
Russell is rocked! Vermeer cracks Russell with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cook is breathing heavily. Stone chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Cook on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stone. Stone obviously looking to wear him down.
A nice inside leg kick there by Stone. That's going to slow Cook down. A nice leg kick lands there from Stone. Cook takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Cook stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stone. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cook ducks right into an uppercut from Stone.
Cook is rocked! Stone throws a wild body kick that Cook sees coming a mile off. Oh Cook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stone connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stone darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Cook's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Stone before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Fjeld. That snapped Lenny's head back.
It looks like Tony Lenny has been cut. Lenny shoots for a takedown but Fjeld saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fjeld swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Fjeld looks for the body kick but Lenny saw that one coming. Lenny throws a jab but it's blocked by Fjeld. Fjeld closes the distance and clinches up with Lenny, looking for a takedown. Fjeld pushes Lenny against the cage but Lenny circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fjeld takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lenny bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lenny lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Fjeld head around and knocks him out cold! Lenny hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Sudo misses and Masato counters with a takedown into side control. Sudo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! You can see the frustration on Sudo's face as Masato controls the position. Masato is trying to get an arm triangle but Sudo is defending well. We've been hearing good reports from Masato's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Masato is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sudo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Masato lands some shots froms side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sudo being controlled for a moment. Masato is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sudo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Masato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Masato moves into full mount! Masato is working for a guillotine from mount but Sudo frees his head quite easily.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sudo taking shots to the head. Masato sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Masato working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. We've been informed that Sudo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masato trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masato content just to control the position here. Masato is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sudo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masato raining down shots from the mount! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Masato controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Masato shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Masato wants to pass to mount but Sudo is defending the position. Masato takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Masato is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sudo is in trouble now - Masato has advanced to mount! Sudo is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masato is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sudo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sudo shrugs it off. Masato tries to control but Sudo wriggling away. Masato sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kugimiya Masato overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Masato looking to control but Sudo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Masato looking to control and managing it successfully. Masato tries to control but Sudo wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masato jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sudo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sudo and Masato has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Masato looking to control and managing it successfully. Masato seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sudo for as long as he can get away with. Masato landing strikes, looking to finish! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Masato sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Masato wants to finish this one by submission but Sudo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Masato. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Paul Edkins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Edkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
