Abraham Mikhail told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

We've been told by Trowning's head coaches at Dark Corner that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Trowning lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Al Rashad at a distance.

and Trowning counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Al Rashad takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Al Rashad has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Trowning bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Al Rashad keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Galato. Smarks shrugs it off though. Smarks shoots in but Galato avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smarks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Galato really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Galato tries to clinch there but Smarks circles away.
Smarks tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Galato lands a jab to the nose. Smarks shoots in looking for a takedown but Galato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smarks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Smarks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Galato as he jumps to the side. Simone Galato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alvin Smarks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smarks shoots in but Galato avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smarks fails to land the takedown. Smarks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter lands a jab. Beast closes the distance and clinches up with Hunter, looking for a takedown. Beast pushes Hunter against the cage but Hunter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hunter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Beast stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A shot to the liver by Hunter. Beautiful body shot. Beast shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunter sprawls well. He's pushed Beast's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Beast fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunter avoids it really well and circles away. Seamus Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jozef Beast. Hunter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Beast's head. Hunter cracks Beast with a hook to the temple - Beast is on wobbly legs here! Hunter swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Beast falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hunter wins by TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kneecap ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nurmagomedov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kneecap as he jumps to the side. Kneecap throws a right hand that Nurmagomedov ducks under and follows up with a left that Nurmagomedov also avoids with ease. Nurmagomedov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nurmagomedov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Coffee Shop in the buildup to the fight.
