Shaqiri throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Masters was covering up waiting for the punch and Shaqiri finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Masters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shaqiri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Masters should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Masters has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shaqiri is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Masters.
Masters manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shaqiri's best efforts.

Masters has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Shaqiri. Oh but Masters has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Shaqiri goes limp - he's gone! Masters jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

After the fight, Chad Masters was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jager throws the left hand but Halo avoids the punch easily.
De Jager misses with a straight left.
Halo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from De Jager lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Halo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Halo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
De Jager takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
