The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewster shoots in for a double leg but Kulemin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Brewster finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
As Brewster looks to move away, Kulemin throws a big counter combo but Brewster just gets out of the way.

and Kulemin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Kulemin counters with a nice right hand that sends Brewster toppling to the canvas! Brewster scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kulemin finish him?!

It looks like Derrick Brewster has been cut.
Konstantin Kulemin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derrick Brewster.
Brewster throws the left hand but Kulemin avoids the punch easily.

Fusco takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Land swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fusco is looking to counter punch.
Land doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Fusco counter with a right hand.

It looks like Pound Land has been cut.
Pound Land seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fusco avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fusco swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Land cracks Fusco with a good jab.
Fusco keeps the fight on the outside.
Land connects with a solid leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Land drops his hands momentarily and Fusco takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Land wants to clinch but Fusco slips to the side
and Fusco counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Land throws a right hand that misses
and Fusco scores with a counter punch that sends Land to the canvas! Fusco smells blood - he's punishing Land with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Land has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Zakuani is pressed up against the cage. Chegwin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zakuani down to the mat. Zakuani avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mkubwa dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Xavier. That did some damage!
Xavier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mkubwa is fending him off so far but Xavier persists. Nope, Mkubwa circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mkubwa! But no joy.
Mkubwa connects with a body shot that sends Xavier's belly button to the back.
Mkubwa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mkubwa lands a slapping body shot.
Mkubwa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Sathan Xavier will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
