The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duffy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A jab from Duffy misses. A left and a right from Duffy both land. Nice combination. Duffy misses with a low kick. Duffy forces Tarlac back against the cage and clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Tarlac. Tarlac lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
We've been informed that Tarlac has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Tarlac tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tarlac drives through and clinches with Duffy against the cage.

Duffy swings away with a leg kick that misses. Tarlac takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tarlac takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Tarlac looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tarlac lands with a cross. Tarlac rushes Duffy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Duffy misses with a punch to the body.

Tarlac ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duffy moves away. A leg kick checked by Duffy. Duffy throws a low kick, looking for Tarlac's leg but Tarlac calmly moves out of range. Tarlac has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Duffy finds it's way round the side to connect with Tarlac's head. Duffy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Duffy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tarlac. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Duffy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tarlac - the referee stops the clock and Duffy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tarlac. Duffy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Duffy's corner calls for a 1-2. Duffy obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Tarlac throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Duffy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tarlac was well out of range. Poor timing from Duffy. Duffy connects with a high kick. Duffy misses with a few strikes there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rain throws a wild body kick that Wolf sees coming a mile off. Rain has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Heavy Metal in the buildup to the fight. Wolf scores with a punch to the head. Wolf throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rain swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Rain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wolf. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wolf has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Wolf closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wolf lands in his opponent's guard. Rain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wolf manages to get himself to full guard.
Wolf looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolf keeping moving, preventing Rain from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain preventing the sweep. Wolf lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Wolf postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rain pushes a forearm under Wolf's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wolf is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Heavy Rain decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
