Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Michael MP (ranked 3313 p4p, 282 weight class) and Toktogulovich Bakiyev (ranked 2250 p4p, 214 weight class). MP kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Whitesnake - Is This Love?. On his way into the ring it seems that Michael MP has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael MP seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bakiyev misses the jab. MP lands the left hand. No joy there for MP, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

MP slips a straight right by Bakiyev. MP lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bakiyev circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MP throws a leg kick but Bakiyev moved away. A decent looking cross lands there for MP. MP tries a head kick but it misses.

MP throws a lazy head kick and Bakiyev counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bakiyev works MP's body with a nice hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Toktogulovich Bakiyev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bakiyev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Zlatan Zirkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zirkov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Po looks to land a left hand but Zirkov moved out of range nicely. As Po tries to get set, Zirkov tries to push him back and clinch up but Po manages to avoid the attempt. A decent looking cross lands there for Po. Po takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Cheating throws out a counter right but Biernat avoids it with no problem. Cheating looks to land a left hand but Biernat moved out of range nicely. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Biernat. Biernat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tymonowicz moves out of range as Pitung strikes. Pitung works Tymonowicz's body with a nice hook. Nice defenses there by Tymonowicz. Pitung misses with a lunging right hand
and Tymonowicz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Bang Pitung has been cut. Pitung lands a jab to the nose. Tymonowicz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Tymonowicz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pitung. Pitung throws a body kick that misses. Tymonowicz ducks under a wild hook from Pitung. Pitung follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Tymonowicz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tymonowicz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Pitung misses with a kick to the body and Tymonowicz counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Pitung goes down! Tymonowicz rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Pitung is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pitung has closed the distance and engaged Tymonowicz in a clinch.

Pitung tries a head kick but it misses.
Bang Pitung is winning the standup battle so far. Pitung throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pitung throws a lazy head kick and Tymonowicz counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Pitung badly! He tries to strike back but Tymonowicz puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Pitung out cold! Oh man, Pitung will never hear the end of this one!

Lee wants to clinch up but Cornell keeps it at a distance. Lee darts in trying to clinch and Cornell counters with a straight right hand. Cornell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lee at a distance.

and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cornell closes the distance and catches Lee with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Lee is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Lee is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Lee is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Cornell takes it!

Tua looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Tua throws out a loose jab but Stern uses good head movement to avoid it. Tua looks winded! The crowd cheers as Stern lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tua doesn't seem phased though. Tua walks into a stiff left hand from Stern. Sloppy strikes from Tua. Those never looked like landing. Tua has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tua there as he acknowledges the shot. Tua throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cortez misses the jab. Cook staying out of range there. Cortez throws a right and a left that Cook avoids nicely. Nice uppercut lands for Cortez. That snapped Cook's head back.

The Zealot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The Zealot rushes Takemura and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by The Zealot. Takemura tries to work over The Zealot's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Takemura blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. St. Georges displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Turturro throws out the jab. St. Georges throws out a loose jab but Turturro uses good head movement to avoid it.

St. Georges looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. St. Georges plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Turturro swiftly into unconsciousness!
