The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Soda lands a really nice looking cross but Da Silva seems unphased.
Soda works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Soda misses with a hook to the body
and Da Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Soda lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Da Silva keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Soda misses with an uppercut
and Da Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Soda throws a good cross that connects.
Soda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Da Silva swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Da Silva's waist but Da Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Soda off to one side.

Soda attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A little jabbing left from Da Silva on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Soda on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Da Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A looping hook to the body misses from Soda. Da Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Da Silva moves away.
Soda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Da Silva has time to react.
Soda is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Da Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soda throws out the jab.
Soda backing away here, and Da Silva unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Soda has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cloud9 in the buildup to the fight.
Soda moves in looking to clinch but Da Silva pushes him off.

Soda dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Da Silva. That did some damage!

Holmes Jr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Red - Damage. Sobieski has chosen Karnivool - Lifelike as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
