Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georges St Pierre (ranked 5820 p4p, 5611 weight class) and Tayaen Porfirigo (ranked 591 p4p, 579 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think St Pierre might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Face the Pain. Tayaen Porfirigo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

St Pierre darts in and clinches Porfirigo up against the cage.

Porfirigo is trying to trip St Pierre. He has hold of a leg but St Pierre is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Porfirigo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
St Pierre seems a little lost for a moment, as Porfirigo dominates the positioning.
St Pierre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Porfirigo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Porfirigo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down St Pierre's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Pierre jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Porfirigo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Porfirigo and St Pierre has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
You can see the frustration on St Pierre's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rou Joukani was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tripp lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Foley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Foley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Plutov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
