A quick step to the side and Tuytuhlz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Llewellyn has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi misses the shot to the body.

Takashi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chavaski was covering up waiting for the punch and Takashi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Takashi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takashi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Takashi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chavaski for as long as he can get away with.

Takashi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Chavaski content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Takashi has locked up a guillotine! Takashi's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Chavaski is holding on here and Takashi must be using up a lot of energy. Chavaski has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Takashi gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Kazuo Takashi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
