The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Ekaku.
Rizzo attempts a counter takedown but Ekaku avoids it well and moves away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ulfgeirsson reaches up to try and control the position but Rome seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Ulfgeirsson rolls and tries to escape and now Rome has his back!

Rome is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ulfgeirsson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ulfgeirsson for a finish.

Rome has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ulfgeirsson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Curtis Rome really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Redemption ink logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

Slinger shoots in looking for a takedown. Pardi tries to sprawl out of it but Slinger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pardi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
