Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Sanchez (ranked 2855 p4p, 3171 weight class) and Alex Alexandrov (ranked 396 p4p, 438 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sanchez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Duele El Carazon. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Mercenary throws the left hand but Trubitsyn avoids the punch easily. Trubitsyn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Trubitsyn scores with a hook. Trubitsyn misses with a few strikes there.
Trubitsyn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercenary. Mercenary misses with an uppercut. Mercenary tries to move into range but Trubitsyn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Mercenary walks straight into a jab right on the nose. Trubitsyn throws a right hand that Mercenary ducks under and follows up with a left that Mercenary also avoids with ease. Trubitsyn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mercenary, as that shot connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trubitsyn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Trubitsyn is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mercenary had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akhmed Dudayev! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudayev misses with a hook
and Chugman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chugman. Chugman trying to control but Dudayev is working from the bottom. Chugman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dudayev, who protects the arm well. Chugman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dudayev keeps working.

Chugman misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Chugman jumps into side control! Chugman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dudayev keeps working. Chugman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dudayev is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Chugman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dudayev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dudayev throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Chugman is looking to clinch. Dudayev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chugman manages to avoid it. and Chugman counters with a shoot takedown. Dudayev fights it but they end up in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Chugman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Chugman won't allow Dudayev to sweep him here. Chugman is fighting to break Dudayev's control of his arms but Dudayev is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Chugman with a nice head shot there. Chugman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dudayev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chugman is one step ahead there. Chugman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dudayev swivels though and keeps the full guard. Klaus Chugman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dudayev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Akhmed Dudayev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chugman has a hand on Dudayev's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dudayev takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Dudayev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Chugman holds on to Dudayev as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Chugman can't escape the position.
Dudayev has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chugman flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Halli. Chang throwing a counter right hand but Halli manages to avoid it. Chang throws a hook to the side of Halli's head but Halli sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Halli wants to clinch. Halli ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Chang moves into range and connects with a jab. A left lands for Halli. Chang dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Halli. That did some damage! Halli takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. It looks like Reijo Halli has been cut. Halli's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chang under the eye. Chang misses with a right hand and Halli counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chang won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Halli remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Halli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chang keeps working. Chang tries to bench press Halli off him but Halli keeps the position. Halli is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chang will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wanderson Machado will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time!
