The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Posta jabs at Hardwick's body.
Hardwick shoots in looking for a takedown. Posta tries to sprawl out of it but Hardwick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Posta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Boran closes the distance and pushes Horn back into the cage.
Horn throws a head punch that misses.
Horn lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Horn lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Boran is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Horn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Still in the clinch, Horn scores with a nice short uppercut.

I was talking to Boran's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Horn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Boran has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Horn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Chabot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hayes tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Chabot.
Chabot continues to hold on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chabot seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hayes for as long as he can get away with.

and Taves connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Bo Redd has been cut.
Taves takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Redd swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Taves throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Taves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Redd.
Redd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Taves.

Redd misses with an uppercut. Taves saw that one coming.
Taves unleashes a big counter combination but Redd bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

It looks like Brad Taves has been cut.

Taves jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Redd's jab looks to have found its range, popping Taves under the eye.
Redd throws the left hand but Taves avoids the punch easily.
Taves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Redd counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Taves has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
