The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping body kick lands there for Nakamura. A looping hook to the body misses from Williamson. Nakamura does a little dance to reset his feet. Nakamura cracks a nice hook into Williamson's ribs. Nakamura throws a leg kick that is checked and Williamson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nakamura looks to land a right hand but Williamson moved out of range. Williamson looks to score with a jab to the body but Nakamura is just out of range. As Williamson backs away, Nakamura returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Nakamura wants to slow Williamson down by chopping away at his legs. Masato Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakamura throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Williamson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nakamura was well out of range. Poor timing from Williamson. Nakamura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamura looks to land a left hand but Williamson moved out of range nicely. Nakamura misses the jab. Williamson misses the jab. Nakamura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nakamura takes a shot right to the bread basket. Williamson cracks Nakamura with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nakamura looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Williamson finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williamson misses with a body shot.

Nakamura thows a leg kick but Williamson checks it and Williamson counters with a stiff right hand. Nakamura throws out a loose jab but Williamson uses good head movement to avoid it. Nakamura with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

A low kick from Nakamura lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Williamson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Williamson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Nakamura throws a lazy uppercut
and Williamson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Williamson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Nakamura misses with a hook. Williamson ducked under it nicely. Nakamura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williamson.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Hawk Williamson. Well Williamson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Neto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ovaltine Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Topper Green and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jenkins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. It looks like Ovaltine Jenkins has been cut. Jenkins uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Neto has time to react. Jenkins lands with a shot to the body. No joy there for Neto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Neto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jenkins misses the shot to the body. Jenkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenkins ducks right into an uppercut from Neto. Neto throws out a loose jab but Jenkins uses good head movement to avoid it. Neto connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Jenkins tumbling to the canvas! Neto pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Jenkins was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pedro Neto! Pedro Neto really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that DrugLords 50$ Q130 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawson drops his hands momentarily and Nye takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Nye misses with a looping left. Dawson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Nye wants to clinch but Dawson slips to the side and Dawson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nye is looking to clinch but Dawson is avoiding it.

Nye's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dawson under the eye. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nye takes the fight into the clinch. Dawson manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nye trying to control the position from guard on top but Dawson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dawson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nye puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nye in particular looking to stall. Nye scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nye content to control rather than advance. Nye wants to control but Dawson is keeping him busy. Nye is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dawson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dawson trying to control here.

Nye seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dawson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nye closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nye is looking to take a break and control but Dawson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nye has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dawson tries to bench press Nye off him but Nye keeps the position. Nye trying to control the action but Dawson is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dawson tries to buck Nye off but Nye is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nye takes a little break here. Dawson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Dawson is trying to control Nye's posture but Nye avoids it. Nye moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Nye trying to control the action but Dawson is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hobert Nye dominated that round. That's time! Nye's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Nye misses the body punch and Dawson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nye manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dawson on his heels. He'll look to pass Dawson's guard now, I'm sure. Nye connects with a couple of short punches. Dawson controls Nye momentarily but Nye frees himself. Nye is stalling in the full guard. Dawson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hobert Nye overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dawson has Nye pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nye is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nye gets to his feet - Dawson follows without any prompting. Decent striking displayed by Nye there. Nye is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dawson can do to turn this around?

Nye rushes Dawson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dawson lands a right hand. Nye blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Dawson tries to pull guard but Nye won't allow it.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dawson has cracked Nye with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dawson lands another huge swinging hook and Nye tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Nye, before Dawson can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafa Peziev! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peziev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGee but McGee pushes him off and we're back to square one. McGee swings for the body but Peziev moves out of range.
Peziev feints and as McGee raises his hands in defense, Peziev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Peziev throws a big elbow that misses. Peziev trying to control but McGee is working from the bottom. McGee wants to stand up but Peziev is controlling him. McGee scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGee with the inside leg kick. McGee throws an overhand right that lands on Peziev's shoulder, as Peziev tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGee throws a big shot that misses. Peziev fails with the takedown and McGee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peziev moves away. No luck for Peziev with that takedown attempt. Jimmy McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafa Peziev. Nice sprawl there from McGee as Peziev shoots in. McGee pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McGee misses with a shot to the body and McGee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McGee wants to stand up but Peziev is controlling him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peziev is in close to McGee's body, working some short punches and elbows. Peziev wants to control from the top but McGee keeps moving. Peziev throwing strikes but missing. Peziev stops McGee from standing up. Peziev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Peziev trying to control the position from guard on top but McGee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peziev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Peziev prevents McGee from getting back to his feet. Peziev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Peziev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Peziev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McGee wants to get back to his feet. Peziev is chipping away with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGee managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Peziev.
Peziev lands a decent elbow from side control. Peziev prevents McGee from escaping the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peziev trying to control the action but McGee is working from the bottom. McGee wants to get back to his feet but Peziev drags him back down. McGee throws Peziev to one side and escapes! Peziev takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McGee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peziev can do to turn this around? McGee misses with a low kick as Peziev jumps back. Peziev throws out a counter right but McGee avoids it with no problem. Nice cross by McGee. McGee lands a leg kick that knocks Peziev off balance momentarily. McGee is looking to score with low kicks. Peziev has his takedown stuffed and McGee counters with a slapping leg kick. McGee misses with the combination.
McGee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peziev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGee swivels and escapes. Peziev takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jimmy McGee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Peziev fails with the takedown. McGee fires out a quick counter leg kick but Peziev just manages to avoid it. McGee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jimmy McGee is winning the standup battle so far. Peziev tries to clinch but McGee moves out of range. McGee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peziev. McGee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peziev. That did some damage!

It looked like McGee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Peziev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. McGee throws a good cross that connects.

and Peziev counters with a lovely straight right hand! McGee connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Peziev's hands. Peziev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGee as he jumps to the side. A counter left hand to the body from McGee misses its target. Rafa Peziev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGee throws a front kick aimed at Peziev's knee but Peziev avoids it well. A little jabbing left from Peziev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. McGee fails to land with a series of punches.
McGee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. McGee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Peziev darts in looking for a takedown but McGee gets double underhooks and turns Peziev into the cage. Peziev fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McGee feints a jab promting Peziev to slip. McGee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Peziev slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Peziev is rocked!
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy McGee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Brandt controls Boma momentarily but Boma frees himself. Brandt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boma defends it easily. Boma trying to control the position from guard on top but Brandt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boma preventing the sweep. Brandt working for submissions but it's allowed Boma to get to half guard.

Brandt can't keep hold of the triangle and Boma manages to pass to side control! Boma taking a breather here. Brandt is trying to control Boma's posture but Boma avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brandt tries to improve position but can't. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rayan Brandt will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rayan Brandt's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. He's got his arms around Boma's waist but Boma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brandt off to one side. Boma now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Brandt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Brandt throws a body punch but Boma moves out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boma! But no joy. Boma throws a body punch but Brandt moves out of range. Brandt feinted with a counter takedown. Boma takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Boma wants to clinch. Brandt attempts a counter takedown but Boma avoids it well and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boma leaves Brandt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brandt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Boma lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brandt will feel that in the morning. Brandt cracks Boma with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Brandt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Brandt drives through with a takedown into Boma's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Is it all over??? No! Boma has escaped and now he's on top! Brandt is trying to keep Boma in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boma trying to control but Brandt is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brandt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cifaretto takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Cifaretto fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dean throws the left hand but Cifaretto avoids the punch easily. Dean looks to land a left hand but Cifaretto moved out of range nicely. We've been told by Cifaretto's head coaches at Top of Food Chain that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dean lands with a nice body kick. Cifaretto on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Farquharson (ranked 1956 p4p, 2197 weight class) and Nurislam Alieva (ranked 216 p4p, 245 weight class). Hamish Farquharson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raven throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Raven swings widly with a right hand
and Van Soest counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Raven just misses with a punch to the body.
A slow jab from Raven misses its intended target. Van Soest appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Raven throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Raven catches Van Soest with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Van Soest looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Van Soest ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Van Soest fires out a quick counter leg kick but Raven just manages to avoid it. Van Soest walks into a left hand.
