With a record of 21 - 86 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pawel Nastula! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 96 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrzej Bebok! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Bebok is predictable there and Nastula counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nastula in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bebok tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Nastula!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Balink Tarlah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan Campbell! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campbell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tarlah looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tarlah scoring with some ground and pound. Campbell being controlled here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tarlah has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarlah postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tarlah looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Campbell is looking for a triangle but Tarlah pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Campbell trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Campbell moves in looking to clinch but Tarlah pushes him off. Tarlah closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Campbell tries to kick Tarlah off but Tarlah keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Still in half guard, Tarlah seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell is trying to control but Tarlah manages to pass to mount!
Tarlah controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tarlah cracks Campbell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tarlah sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tarlah seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Campbell for as long as he can get away with. Tarlah connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Balink Tarlah dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. A shot to the liver by Tarlah. Beautiful body shot. Tarlah closes the distance and clinches. Campbell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ethan Campbell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Campbell gets caught napping as Tarlah dives in and scores a takedown. Campbell manages to retain guard. Campbell is wriggling around but Tarlah manages to pass to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tarlah takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tarlah perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Campbell taking some punishment here, with Tarlah in his half guard. Tarlah slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Albertson jumps guard but Pudzianowski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Albertson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pudzianowski after a bit of a struggle.

Pudzianowski throws a leg kick and Albertson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pudzianowski tries to kick Albertson off in order to stand up. Albertson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Albertson lands a nice forearm strike. Albertson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Pudzianowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Albertson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pudzianowski is trying to improve his position. Albertson working away. Albertson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pudzianowski! Pudzianowski wants to try and get back to his feet. Pudzianowski wants to hold on but Albertson pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. A nice inside leg kick there by Pudzianowski. That's going to slow Albertson down. Albertson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Albertson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pudzianowski. Albertson blocks a leg kick. Pudzianowski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Albertson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pudzianowski did well to prevent Albertson getting side control. Pudzianowski won't allow Albertson to pass to mount. Albertson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pudzianowski is just riding it out for now. Albertson eventually gives up the hold. Albertson is trying to work for a kimura but Pudzianowski is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Albertson is keen to just control but Pudzianowski is a slippery customer. Pudzianowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Albertson is working away from the top position though. Pudzianowski won't allow Albertson to pass to mount. Albertson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pudzianowski can do to turn this around? Well, if Albertson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Albertson slows the pace down in half guard. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Albertson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Albertson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pudzianowski. Albertson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pudzianowski avoids it really well and circles away. Pudzianowski steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Albertson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Albertson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pudzianowski throws out a leg kick but Albertson moves out of range and Pudzianowski only half commits. Pudzianowski throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Albertson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pudzianowski as he avoids it easily. Pudzianowski dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Albertson. That did some damage! Good work by Albertson as he checks the leg kick. Albertson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Albertson checks a low kick from Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski throws a chopping leg kick but Albertson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Albertson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Pudzianowski misses with a leg kick. Albertson checks a leg kick nicely. Pudzianowski will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Albertson fails with a takedown attempt. Pudzianowski thumps Albertson with a low kick. Pudzianowski shoots for a double leg takedown but Albertson sprawls well. He's pushed Pudzianowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Pudzianowski. Albertson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Good work by Albertson as he checks the leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pudzianowski throws a leg kick that is checked and Albertson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pudzianowski trying to control but Albertson postures up.
Albertson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. John Albertson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Albertson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Albertson content to control rather than advance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Albertson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Albertson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
