Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Suarez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez tries for a takedown but Ax circles away easily

and Ax counters with a takedown into side control.

Suarez sneaks out the side door and pushes Ax away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Suarez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ax makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Ax wants to control but Suarez is having none of it.

Ax shoots in for a takedown but Suarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Suarez in particular looking to stall.
Suarez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Asher Ax.
Well Suarez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
