Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Rose (ranked 5295 p4p, 5347 weight class) and Cameron Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.

Smith dives in and scores a takedown into Rose's guard.
Smith wants to stand but Rose has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rose utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rose manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.
Rose will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Rose advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Rose keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Rose's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Smith is looking to control Rose's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smith avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Rose seems content to control.
Rose uses his free foot to push down on Smith's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Smith.

Rose swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

After the fight, Victor Rose was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
